how is Ben Hutton ahead of him? Ben has 16 points or something to Gaudreau's 40 in the same number of games.
Silly.

If Florida does not sign Brittain I sure hope the Flames do, it looks like he has recovered well from his sophmore year injury.

Really, if you combine the votes for all the Flames' guys we're killing it on this thing. Plus no matter how many votes Hutton gets Gaudreau is going to go home with it.

Voted for Kodos
|
I'm pretty this whole thing is just to draw clicks to the NCAAs website. Fan voting accounts for 1% of the total vote. In the first phase, the Div 1 coaches all vote, so 1% could only be a very unlikely tiebreaker at best. In the final ten, the 27 committee members vote and with fan voting accounting for 1%, it's impossible for the 1% to make any difference in the voting.

Yeah, but the reality of this is he may win this fairly pointless fan voting segment, but because of the organization he will play for, he will be relegated to playing a whining, diving style of hockey that, after he retires, will make it impossible for him to look at himself in the mirror.
So we have that going for us. Which is nice.

It's not Canucks fans making the difference. We learned this last year when Corban Knight got all the votes because of the students at UND.

Yeah, I believe it usually goes to a senior but there doesn't appear to be much competition from the seniors.

I learned that 2 threads devoted to voting for Hutton at CDC have a lot to do with it. The Hutton 4 Hobey has 6000+ views. The Hutton thread also is promoting Hobey. I've never seen the guy play a minute of hockey but I do not think he would be in the top 3 if not for Canucks fans voting in a meaningless poll.
