Tickets say "Theatre style seating" on them. Not sure what that means though

Weird. Maybe they have moveable riser seats or something.

Also, what is 'rush seating'? Does that mean first come first serve? And if so, I Assume that means a lineup pre-show.

From what I recall when I saw Louis CK at Mac Hall in 2011, it was folding chairs and rush seating and you could pretty much see him from anywhere (there's a little stage).

Rush seating avoids the instances of knob's shelling out for top dollar front row tickets and coming in 15 minutes late when he's already started his set. Trust me, it's better.

No matter how hard we try, we're usually arriving five minutes before the show, so chances are we will be seating in the last row...

Burr added a second show in Toronto since the first sold out too fast. Have a feeling he didn't expect the following that he has in Canada.

Hopefully this encourages him to come around more often.

He's added a second show at 10pm. Ticket sales must be good.

He added a second show for Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa and Halifax. Said he's blown away at how fast tickets are selling.

Those dicks in Edmonton and Winnipeg couldn't sell enough for a second show? Halifax could but those dicks couldn't?

How big are the venues in Edmonton and Winnipeg?

I was holding out hope for a second Moncton show, but it doesn't look like that's going to be the case. If I can swing the weekend it'll be at the back of the theatre.

I harped on this before, how so many comedians seem to come through with little to no mainstream media promotion.

Maybe I just wasn't looking in the right places, but I seriously only knew about Bill Burr because of CP.

Then buddy earlier in the thread mentioned that he wants Louis CK to stop in Calgary and he'd totally go, and I'm like "yeah, I've been waiting years for Louis CK to tour Canada".

Then another poster goes "Louis CK? He was here a couple of years ago, in fact it was at Mac Hall, too"

I never heard about that. I kept checking the paper, expecting to one day see Louis CK playing the Jubilee on a huge cross Canada tour, or even the Saddledome like Russell Peters a few years ago. But nope, apparently he just quietly trotted into town and played mac hall, with no mainstream fanfare during the height of his fame, lol.

EDIT: While looking for that show in 2011, I did see a pretty funny tweet from Louis CK

guy: When are you coming to Calgary

Louis CK: As soon as Calgary moves to New York.

I think that's one of the things I love most about stand up, it's so understated. Guys do it because they love it, there's no way to sustain a stand up career just for the money, those types of guys fade away very fast. They just roll into town, sell out a small theatre, make some people laugh and leave, and they're happy to do it.

I get what you mean though, I completely missed Louis when he was in town too
