I need three albums recommend to me before 5 PM today that I can load on my ipod for a weekend of travel. A Boston theme is encouraged.
I like great drum lines, bad singers and peeing sitting down... go!

This mix is really good. Some of the bands from sxsw that really stand out are Royal Teeth, John and Jacob, Moonhoney, Team Me, Agnes Obel, Death Vessel, St.Vincent and of course David Albarn.
All of the below made me want to dig deeper :
Royal Teeth : Wild
Alden Penner : Word
John and Jacob : Guilty Face
Moonhoney : Cathedral
Team Me : F Is For Faker
David Albarn : Every Day Robots
St.Vincent : Digital Witness
Death Vessel : Ejecta

Narducy is returning to center stage as a bandleader with Fragmented World – the debut album from Split Single. A new project formed with fellow travelers Britt Daniel (Spoon, Divine Fits) on bass and drummer Jon Wurster (Superchunk, Mountain Goats, Bob Mould, Ben Gibbard, Robert Pollard), Split Single proves equal parts solo project and collective.

61 so far on metacritic. Then again Torches got kinda torched also at 69. I think both are about 20 points under what they should be and there is a place for easy/breezy/sunny/pop even if it reviews poorly. First four songs are all solid and then it starts to sound like Tame Impala before finishing strong. Still one of the hottest tickets at SXSW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8eQmuBxjkc
I can see this album lasting 6 months on heavy rotation on my ipod which is likely 5 months longer than a lot of my other recent purchases
