I cant believe anyone would argue that the international refs are far more suspension happy, Its been very well documented that North American teams have to curtail their style of play due to the Euros playing a softer game and the refs being sensitive to big hits and physical play.
As far as the Canadians being dirty there is not a team in the world that doesnt get chippy when down in big games, i would be disappointed in my team if they just rolled over but there is a massive difference between dirty and chippy or physical.

Suspensions happy? No. Penalty happy? Yes.
Also it's always on the 'edge'. You guys sound like the NA refs are flawless.

You guys need to make a "NA teams - dirty or not?" thread so the rest of us can focus on the game.
Swiss team is pretty stingy so far, not a lot of chances outside of the PP.

Just check last years World championship games (Sorry, I mean 2012) Canada vs Sweden & Canada vs Slovakia and you know what I'm talking about.
Yeah, I'll stop now, sorry for the inconvenience.

Canada must be leading the tournament in missed shots by a wife margin.

As compared to anyone.
I just hope you guys understand there is cultural differences in Europe & NA.
The game isn't like NHL in Europe, same game but played in a bigger rink and with a different style. That being said I'd take NA refs always over European ones, but of course because I love NHL hockey, but they are far from flawless.
Hockeyguy15: Stop posting then. I'm done now though, have a fun evening peeps.

Huh? I posted my link before you said you were done talking about it.
I was fine with leaving it there, but then you come back with more comments. I suggest you take your own advice.

Canada creating a ton but not scoring early on and now a PP for the Swiss. They really need to start capitalizing on their chances.

Listening to the radio is not the same as watching the game. Can't really get a good grasp on the flow of the game.
