So are you cheering for them (him) to do good or are you cheering for the 23 man team as a whole based on the prospects of one player?

Does that make sense fotze? They died to give us the right to cheer for anyone, even if it's Zimbabwe.

It makes sense because those guys actually are Flames and effect whether the team wins or loses.

Good chance due to not developing, injury, trade, bad luck etc. that Gillies doesn't ever do a thing for the Flames.

Remember cheering for Tim Erixon how did that turn out for Flames fans?

He is too old.

This needs to be stickied at the top of the forum during this tournament.

Pretty much this. It's an arbitrary double standard to make a distinction.

Terrible first 10 minutes much better second 10.

Canada was outplayed but did generate a few chances.

As usual and as said every game they need to simplify things and make the smart plays instead of stupid blind passes and fancy dipsy doodles.

Honestly I'm cheering against Moon now.

I hope the USA stomps Canada.

Canada's biggest issue is on D. They don't have that tournament all-star defenceman that they often do. A guy who can carry the puck like Subban or Doughty. And our forwards just aren't offensively good enough to compensate by setting up a strong forecheck and cycle. As a result you have a team trying to score on the rush without the horses to do it.

I'll just state right now that I'm an American cheering for the USA. I don't want every post I make to be followed by a dozen posts calling me unpatriotic (not that this has happened, just saying).

the American's third line giving the Canadian D a lot of problems. Matteau, Fasching and Copp? are big, fast and aggressive

Yeah that's my point Ekblad is not a Subban or a Doughty, or even a Pietrangelo, which is what this team is missing.

They've definitely been our best line 5 on 5. Really hard to contain, and backcheck as hard as they forecheck.

He's not playing like one to be honest. He isn't dominating the way I would have thought he would.

Defencemen are so hard to read. I'd rather have Reinhart if we do get first pick.
