I wish the police would crack down on jaywalkers again on Memorial coming off the peace bridge. Almost everyday I look at those aholes standing between lanes waiting to run across. Then some dumb driver stops to let them cross, the right lane doesn't see the jaywalker so keep going. Sorry people, you'll have to walk an extra min down to the crosswalk.

yup. i read that he did stay in his car and only when he heard police sirens coming to the scene did he step out to inspect the damage to report to the police.

I just wish those dumb drivers would stop trying to let us cross. It's awkward when someone that's just too damn polite sits there waiting for you while the other lane keeps moving by. You try to waive them by to not hold up traffic but they insist so you start inching onto the road hoping the other lane will stop. Now you're the annoying jaywalker that's holding up traffic when all you really wanted to do was casually hang out on the median until it's safe to cross.

I usually try to hide myself behind the median sign so that oncoming drivers westbound can't see me. This way they don't stop and I can casually walk across the street when there is a gap in traffic... Win win!

Yup. Being born and raised in Montreal, jaywalking is in my blood. Stop stopping for me and let me jaywalk effectively.

Being born and raised in Montreal you also know what plowed streets look like.
