Should be two or three nothing for the Flames. Will be interesting too see how they come out for the second which has been their worst period over the past two or so seasons.

Ugh...what a boring period. Time to flip it over to the Stamps game for a bit.

I was sad that I would be missing this game by being on the train...but then I remembered they were playing the Devils.

Devils playing a very smart road game. Flames looking like they're starting to miss those vets.

They'll need to really pick up the speed if they want to win this.

Not sure how it should be 2 or 3-0. Maybe 1-1 at the very best.

Me:
"Shoot.. Shoot! Shoot it now!!!! Noo! Don't hesitate, shooooot!"

Dammit guys. Put that rubber on the net. They scored because they got a shot through traffic and got the rebound, we need to do the same thing. Can't be waiting for the perfect clearing to put it through.

I could see it being 2-1, backlund almost scored early and brodeur had a great save in tight a little later on. still not enough energy from the flames though and if we play at the devils pace, they will squeak away with a win.

Brodeur has stopped two sure goals and was lucky on another as it slid past the open corner of the net. MacDonald kicked a rebound out into a position good goaltenders just don't. Should 2, possibly 3, to goose egg. Goaltending the difference.

Seems to me the chemistry is a bit mixed tonight.

Also have noticed Glencross centering the powerplay in the last few game....What the Fudge is that all about when Backlund and Monahan are available.

Backlund was out on the PP earlier with Monahan and Baertschi. Different combinations.

In more exciting news Jankowski and John Gilmour both got two goals (Gilmour also got an assist) in the Friars season opener, a 5-1 win. Gillies had 25 saves

That period was almost as boring as playing against Phoenix or the Wild. Hopefully the pace picks up in the second.
