Just trying to look at things from a different point of view. Everyone here seems to be harping on the 1 second slow motion frame of how savagely Kessel slashed Scott. I see Kessel defending himself against a thug.
Personally, I would rather have seen Kessel's slash hit Scott in the mouth and Kassian's land on Gagner's shin pad. Gagner definitely didn't deserve to end up looking like the guy in that photo and Scott is already acting like an ogre anyway.
