Pretty awesome though if you had that kind of power. Although I could only guess there would be a call on the intercom system Mr. Brian Burke and Mr. Jay Feaster would like to call Bingo to the Boardroom for a meeting right now!

I don't think they will be cutting players on their days off today and tomorrow.

Flames have already said they plan to make cuts after yesterday's games. Cuts may not happen today, but they will happen very soon. Certainly before the weekend.

I know Butler won't be cut but Derek Smith is a much better D man. I hope he makes the team.

lol, I was fooled by Bingo's post. Went to look up the lineup and found nothing...stupid me.
Still, I'm surprised people aren't voting for Knight. He's done well in all 3 zones and is even scoring some goals. He might start the year in Abbotsford because of a numbers game, but put money on him being recalled soon if that is the case.

Sounds like the kids were told that the cuts are happening today.
And it makes more sense to make cuts sooner than later, as they don't want to keep guys hanging while Abby Heat camp is starting up in the next couple days. Doing it now allows them to make travel, get settled in for a day or two and then get going over there. Guys have to make arrangements asap if the club doesn't have them in the plans after yesterday's games. I'd expect the news this afternoon.

How many cuts do we generally expect in the first round? I imagine about 20 guys will get the chop.
And shouldn't the first round of cuts be today? So that the players can get packed and travel to the Heat training camp (starts on Thursday?). With this in mind, I ended up voting for about 30 players to keep. No point in us trying to get down to 23 players on the first cut.

I think Monahan, knight, hanowski, Horak, bouma, cundari, ramage, poirier, and maybe granlund will make it through the first cut.

Looks like we can take one off the list, not a surprise as he was hurt:
Eric roy@Royzy073m
Great experience here in Calgary, sucks I was injured, can't wait to be back. Back to Brandon to start the season with the boys!

I'd guess 12-16 cuts in the first round leaving 2 full practice squads for the next several days. The lower end of cuts would be based on number of injuries and when guys can go. I expect these cuts will come in a couple of separate announcements based on where the cut player(s) are headed - ie back to junior, Abbotsford etc.
