It's also something posted in September of last year, pre-lockout. It looks like a mis-labeled version of the original 12-13 sked.

Pretty sure this is the schedule for last year before the lockout was announced

I didn't look that close. Just noticed that we didn't have home dates against half the eastern teams. Thank god!

Wrong dates. October 11 is not Thursday in 2013

No Olympic or 2013 NHL schedule announcement today. Sorry, folks

Bill Daly:

Quote:
"The parties are still working through what we hope are 'final' details on the terms of NHL Player participation in 2014 Winter Olympics," NHL Deputy Commissioner emailed the Star Tribune. "But it won't be 'done' until we have a complete agreement. And next year's schedule is obviously dependent on whether an agreement can be reached expeditiously."

Who are the NHL negotiating with right now, the IIHF or the NHLPA?

The IOC and the IIHF. Last I remember is that the NHL wants the IOC to pay for player insurance.

I think another issue is the use of TV highlights.

Poor IOC, they pay nothing and walk away with the profits.

I really don't understand why all of the media is ripping on the NHL for not issuing the schedule yet, saying the NFL, MLB and NBA are far more organised and the NHL is a circus.

Well the NFL and MLB will never be in the Olympics, so will never have to negotiate to take part, and the NBA take part in the Summer olympics, which is out of season, so none of the three have to work out a brerak into their season, as the NHL have to do.

Until the agreement is in place with the Olympics, which IS a huge circus and being in mafia run Russia is only making things worse, there is no point in releasing the schedule.

Have some patience, the season will still start in October.

Bettman was just overly optimistic.
