For a Calgary based site, I am surprised how the D and G are taken to task when the C are not defensively adept.
Now Fleury was a mess. To the point where a puck came off the back boards against Boston and I thought "yikes, glad Vokoun was in and not Fleury". But Malkin's giveaway and lazy change led to the last 2 game winners against the Bruins. He was not good defensively, and when you are scoring, you can gloss over that, but when you are not... ugh.
I didn't think he did himself any favours in terms of negotiating position there, but it seems Pitt is more forgiving than some.
