How is this for a match up?
Baertschi - Monahan - Poirier
Klimchuk - Knight - Granlund
Ferland - Reinhart - Hanowski
Elson - Jooris - Penner
Howse, Gordon
Wotherspoon - Sieloff
Culkin - Kanzig
Kulak - Ramage
Davies, Roy
Brossoit
Ortio
VERSUS
Gaudreau - Jankowski - Horak
Agostino - Backlund - Byron
De Blouw - Arnold - Galiardi
Bancks - Bouma - Harrison
Nemisz
Breen - Brodie
Cundari - Billens
Gilmour - Butler
Gilles
Berra
The second list includes the Flames young players who are playing in the NCAA or who have played more then 100 pro games.
It is impressive that both teams look reasonably good.

Anyone know about buying tickets at the door? I seem to remember the last time I went getting them online and paying the convenience fees only to find out that you could buy them at the door. Would rather avoid $100.00 worth of convenience fees if possible.

ummmm.... little bit of an exaggeration?? i bought two sets of tickets for all the games and it was $160 for the tickets with a $3.50 'order charge'.... so a total of $163.50 for 2 tickets to 8 games

Thanks for the info.
I'm with a party of 4 or 5 and the convenience fees for a single ticket game (we just want to watch the Flames games) is $6.00 each plus another $1.50 to print off the tickets (nevermind there's a will call) and an order charge. So if we do buy our tickets online we're looking at possibly $100.00 worth of convenience fees (exact number looks to be 93.50 assuming we can buy the tickets for 12.00 at the door). Still pretty cheap all together but wasn't an exaggeration.
Unless I'm missing some trick.

BCHL games are double that. These kids are better than almost all BCHL players. $6 a ticket is a wicked price. Totally worth it.

They are $18.50 with the charge. Still better then paying $30 for a rockets game!

Yeah I pay close to that for Smokies games. $18.50 to watch some of the best young talent in the world is a treat.

The classic part doesn't bug me half as much as the Canucks logo.

That is exciting that the games will be streamed!
Is there a schedule?

I would be curious on what exactly the other teams participation/role is for putting this on. I would imagine it is an agreement between the teams letting the Canucks put their name on it because they are in their territory. Lets be honest, they are probably targeting the Canuck fan base to drum up the ticket support for the event because that is their best chance to sell tickets.

Edmonton looks to be bringing a fair share of blockheads up front however in Abney, Kessy, Ewanyk, and Moroz.
I'm interested in seeing Corban Knight for the Flames. He should really be standing out in this tournament if he is ready for NHL duty. He had good stats in college, and apparently does the little things right as well. Will be interesting to see if he lives up to the type. If so, the Flames could have a good player from found money.

You beat me to it, exactly what I was going to type before I read your post. Oilers are going to rely strongly on defence & have to score based on down-low net presence while playing crash & grind hockey. Very strange! Should be a good tourney & at least it's a taste of hockey to get through to preseason.

The schedule is in the OP.
I'm really starting to get excited for this. Personally, I'm really looking forward to the Monahan/Horvat matchup.
In terms of prospective Heat players, I'm looking forward to seeing if Sieloff and Culkin are ready to turn pro. I believe Conroy (or was it Feaster?) said they wanted to see how Culkin does before they offer him a contract to play in Abby.
