I wonder if that is still valid for post pubescent males and females. Generally the definition of pedophillia focuses on prepubescent children rather than between sexually mature individuals in power relationships.

It may still be mostly about power, or it may be somewhere between the kind of stats between the article and a 90/10 power/sexual attraction split, just thought the article was interesting and at least raised the question if it's mostly about power.
I think it's easier to think about it being about power because power is something we can understand while the vast majority of people can't understand attraction to a child so won't want to accept that as an explanation (and again as you say the more mature the child the less clear it would be).

Yeah, I agree with you and the article actually.
My answer was probably simplistic, but power relations are a big aspect of sexual attraction, so while I don't think it's a "i am exerting power over you" as we might typically view it, it IS the power of the position that is attractive/makes the fantasy.
I think a similar thing is the man who sleeps with his secretary. The position of power grants the relationship a certain je ne sais quoi.

Yeah, 16 is getting there. If she hadnt been his teacher then I think from a legal standpoint this would have been okay?
