He may think that he is acting like a guy that wants to win so badly but his actions show that he is a prima donna that cares much more about Brett Lawrie than he does winning. If he did care about winning he would listen to his coaches, make smart baseball plays and take a look at what was called strike instead of blaming the umps and making the same mistakes a few days later on a similar pitch.
Giving 110% on a foul ball is great but there is a lot more to winning than effort and Lawrie gets a gigantic F so far in his career when it comes to the little things that help a team win.

While I agree with the whole running through stop signs bit, as it's happened a few times from what I recall, he isn't the only person to blow a stop sign. And I'd also like to know how many times Lawrie has actually been ejected from a game. 3? 4? I get its easier to pile on a guy when he's not producing and carrying on the way he does - but Brett Lawrie does do the little things too to help the club win.
Plays a solid 3rd base, runs out every ball he puts in play (which can't be said for 7 other bats in their lineup), goes hard all the time. He does more than sells out in a meaningless game. Guy hasn't produced much since his call up to the big leagues. But it isn't from a lack of try I'd say. I enjoy watching him play, full throttle all the time. The results will catch up - and as someone said, his last 4-5 games, he's strung together some good at bats (heck even beat out an infield chopper last night, which no one else in the BJ lineup could have done).
My only issue with the Lind debacle is it happened on the field - no reason for that. If you have an issue, keep it behind closed doors.
