I bought a George Foreman grill a few months ago, and I've used that thing excessively in the winter months. Its a clean and easy way to grill meat inside your house. I'm OCD about grease and oil stains in my kitchen, so that thing is perfect for me. It's super easy to clean too. It doesn't taste as good as pan frying or barbequing, but I don't mind it. For awhile there, I was having steak every weekend.

Given the lineup at Tim Hortons in the morning.....I find it quicker to eat at home. Essentially if I go to Starbucks and get a Grande brewed Coffe and theit ham and egg sandwich and it costs just over $6. I'm a hawk for Flyers/Coupons, so I always try to buy stuff on sale. Plus I do get more control over what I eat. Still every so often, I still go out and get breakfast. Although, take advantage of promotions, like McDonalds free coffee, and Subways free breakfast. You can't get anything cheaper than that.

Why use a Foreman Grill? I don't see anything wrong with BBQ year round

I also had steak at least once a week during the winter but I still used my BBQ.

Too lazy to fire up the bbq in minus 20 weather. What can I say? I'm a pansy when it comes to cold weather. The grill, I just set on top of my stove, turn on the vent, and fire up the grill. It literally takes 10 minutes max from start to finish.

Just to note fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts are on sale at sobey's this week for $5 a pound which is about as good as you can do these days without going to flash frozen boxes. This puts your meat cost at about $2.50 per meal.

Eating at home is a lot more cheaper as has been pointed out, but if you have to eat out, it is possible to eat healthy. Even at places like BPs.

Do research on their menu. Pretty easy to find half decent healthy food choices.

Chicken prices are fowl indeed. Thanks for the heads up!

Sadly no, I have one of those microwave / hood fan combos, so I can't install one of those crazy hood fans. My next house though, I'll make sure to get as powerful one as possible. I don't like food smells lingering in my house.
