It's conceivable the Flames could end tied for 11th.

So book it.

(It's just so weird to see Detroit still on the outside looking in. I haven't seen them this bad in decades, literally. Still, I think it'd be great for Columbus to sneak in.)

Seriously. I was taking lots of flak from Coiler fans earlier this season and I'm sure the rest of you were too. They obviously spoke too soon and believed all that was written about their shameful embarrassment of a team. At this point I dont care if they pick higher than us, they'll still suck much worse. Way to build on a new legacy of losing!

I don't think I could bear a scenario where the Oilers won the draft lottery again. I'd be seriously in favour of changing the rules of it to reward a team who won't make the playoffs but at least is making an effort to win games.

There needs to be an incentive to actually trying to win.

When are these high flying, talented Oilers going to...you know....score some goals? They are a travesty 5 on 5 as the Hawks, Capitals and Penguins young players were at least explosive offensively but this Oilers squad has a pop-gun attack.

Made it out to my first game of the season this year. Sens and Pens. The Sens really needed to focus on hockey in the first rather than going after Cooke. Nice fight by Smith in the first. Anderson really needs to figure out how to not let in back-breaking goals so late in the game. Vokoun stood on his head, stole many great chances from the Sens tonight.

Also, first time I've watched Iggy since the trade...really bizarre to see him in a different uniform. Glad to see him get the goal tonight.

The Senators are probably my least favorite team this year. Such a joke of an owner and players they've been to the Penguins this year. Neil has been playing insanely dirty all game, I was wondering why he wasn't thrown out before this hit........
OH please. It was a fine hit. As long as your team employs the biggest ##### and dirtiest player the league has seen in year, and you bitch about a good hit like that, it will be hard to take you and seriously.

The Blackhawks are not playing very well and this game is lacking the usual Canucks vs. Hawks intensity.

Things are so backwards that on a "studs & duds" segment on one of these hockey shows they have the Calgary Flames a dud for...... winning. I get that some fans want a better pick, yadda yadda, but a journalist saying their a bad team for trying? Well that sends wrong to me

Is it even possible for Gene Principe to speak a complete sentence without an incredibly lame pun?

What a goof - a perfect host for Oiler broadcasts.

Any Oilers fan sightings on this board lately? Seems like the right time that they all start disappearing

I read a good idea today. Draft standings are based off of the standings at trade deadline. The worst teams still get to benefit and you don't factor in when teams give up near the end.

To top it off, won't be long and the oilers will be in cap trouble.

21 years actually (last one they won was in 1992). Still incredibly embarrassing. two decades without winning a division title. How the hell does that happen?

lots of boos in Edmonton - for a team that is tanking - glad our guys are are giving a great effort even if we move down a couple of spots in the draft.

Its not acceptable to mail it in - you are supposed to be a professional...
