JMO i don't see a clear cut Captain yet. Cammy, Tangauy, Glencross, Gio all take too many shifts off over the past few seasons for my liking.
Strangely i like Brodie for the next C but it is too soon.

Agreed, especially in the beginning. But they have all been bad, as a team. Hence; selecting a captain based on their play this season is such a thankless task. Yet, Giordano seems like a fixture to stay for a few years with this team and he has the right attitude for a captain.

I would like the C to go to gio or cammy. Maybe the person with the C wont take any shifts off like this year.

Thinking about it some more, I agree we should be looking for a captain for during this transitional period. Cammy and Gio strike me as ideal candidates. Right now I'm thinking Cammy is the better choice. Gio, while certainly capable (or at least that's what he should us last year needs to sort out his own play on the ice first before anything else. He could probably be the new face of the franchise in 2-3 years once he settles in playing up to expectations.

Cammy has been a solid veteran on the team. He may be a smurf but he's been our smurf who's shown he cares through his play and produced as a result of it. Example being that while most of us thought (myself included) he should have been sat for the first 2 weeks in favor of Bartschi, Cammy's engine eventually kicked in and is one of our leading scorers in goals and team leader in points now.

Move Tanguay off the team ideally, and we'll have a solid balance between the kids and veterans.

For people including Brodie and Backlund, give them 3-4 years before even considering it. They still need to prove that we can expect more of them.

In the end I would still rather not have anybody at all and leave the spot vacant for up to 2 years even.

Cammy or Giordano make the most sense. Possibly Sarich but if they think they will move him at the deadline next year it wouldn't make sense.

My pick as captaincy would be cammy. Both Giordano and Wideman can sport the A. If all 3 somehow gets traded later on in the future, id ike to see Brodie as captain than backlund and horak as assistant.

No, the A's should all have special rings and when they combine powers, they make Captain Planet!

I think Brodie is the guy too but I also agree its too soon. I think they should run 4 As. Giordano, Cammalleri, Backlund and Brodie
