Of the new players, Hartley said the lone one who likely wouldn't play was Irving, the club's 2006 first-round draft choice.
It looks like there will be 8 call ups or rookies in the lineup today.

The Flames lines for the Wild will be: Baertschi-Mikael Backlund-Mike Cammalleri; Byron-Street-Lee Stempniak; Reinhart-Horak-Jiri Hudler; and Tim Jackman-Matt Stajan-Ben Hanowski.
On defence: Mark Giordano-Cory Sarich; T.J. Brodie-Cundari; and Chris Butler-Brett Carson.
The Street call up is baffling as he's looked pretty meh but Nemisz won't be a Flame for long anyways and he's not NHL material. Dude can barely skate and brings little to the table.
I'd argue his skating is probably better than Hanowski.
Of all the call ups I am most excited for Bancks. Too bad Breen wasn't healthy because I would have been over the moon to see him play with the big club this year.
by that reasoning, you are suggesting that hanowski isn't either?
Nemisz not being an NHLer has little to do with his skating and more to do with his low hockey IQ, weak to average shot, non-physical play.
There are hundreds of AHLers who offer what little Nemisz does, but to answer your question about Hanowski, I really don't know. Haven't watched him enough, but he didn't impress me even with his goal. He's still a college kid though, Nemisz has had a lot more time to improve and he's actually getting worse.
I don't get his sudden drop-off this year. Either Ward really hates the kid, or his injuries have ruined him
Any Heat watchers have some insight?
I think Ward does have his "likes' and "dilikes" but I am sure some will agree. I am not a Ward fan and find him rather annoying quite frankly.
Nemo has way for more skill thank Bancks. No offence to Bancks, good guy to have on your team, definitely Wardo's favourite. Hope Nemo gets a chance with another team. I honestly don't think many prospects have improved under Ward. Certainly doesn't show in their stats. Seems unfortuanate really.
