This is definitely not the Wings of old we're playing here. Looking a little list out there.

Kind of Sucks that Gamecenter doesn't shot intermissions for TSN. Kate Bierness is always a treat to watch. Hanowski looks much more comfortable tonight. Puck seems to find its way to his stick most times so far tonight.

Love the tenacity of the young guys. I could get use to watching this and I am ok with the loses. I like the direction we are going in.
Brodie continues to amaze. Anyone else think that Sarich is playing really well right now?

Darren Pang just said something about chasing pucks and not trusting teammates or something...
If there was any doubt in my mind before that he had no clue, it's been answered now. That "analysis" made no sense.

I like how much hockey sense that Monahan is suppose to have and i like how big he produced on the worst team in the OHL last year and the fact that he played through injury when the season was lost (yup, that actually happened: http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/jrh...183002949.html).
Just shows how tough he is. Also he's said to be a natural leader so he could be captain material down the road. The more i read about him, the more i like. I know Lindholm is suppose to be more skilled though and dynamic but i like the feel of Monahan a bit more than him for some reason.

Detroit sucks. Their fans deserve the humility of missing the playoffs.

Monahan is honestly the second best Center in the draft, IMO.

I think he meant that it is an act and react game. In other words, go hard to loose pucks and let your team mates read off you, instead of looking over your shoulder for someone else to go.
Don't glide...STRIDE.
Make sense?

If giordano is the captain next year ill throw up a bit in my mouth. I'd rather see stajan or stempniak get the c.
Too many screens against our goalies this year too many penalties too many times on his ass in the corner or trying to play goal.
No thanks.

Back in training camp, Hartley would scold the players, and immediately stop the current drills if he caught anyone passing the puck backwards on a zone entry. He wants them to always push the puck ahead, be aggressive, force the other team to defend against your speed. Didn't want anyone standing still when the puck crossed the blue line.
Apparently old habits die hard.

Baertschi can be the playmaker, Monahan the sniper.
