I have watched many of his games and he has played well. Has had allot of chances but this team has been ravaged by injury lately. He is just starting to get comfortable. Look out !

When he was in Calgary - "Iginla needs to accept a new role on the team, not look to pad his stats, and help the team win. What a terrible leader!"
Now that he's in Pittsburgh - "Iginla seems to have accepted a new role as a secondary player that is helping the team win, but isn't getting many points. What a terrible leader!"

JMO depending how Iggy does in the playoffs. Morrow thus far has out played Iggy.
Main difference is Iggy could out point his total in a couple good games.
From what i have watched Iginla still pitches himself on the side boards entering the zone etc. I don't see him breaking his old habits anytime soon. He is getting more opportunities when he decides to be closer around the net.
Iggy 1 G 4 pts +1
Morrow 3G 6pts +3

Tonight's goal was career point number 1100 for Iginla.

Iginla has played really well for Pitt. He has been getting top line minutes and has been getting lots of opportunities. For all of you beaking his stats, he hit 2 posts in the last 2 games and also had a goal taken away because it brushed against Kunitz so Kunitz got credit.
Morrow has played well too, and has been fortunate enough to score a couple more goals than Iginla, but theres no way he would keep that up.
Its been fun to watch Pitt, I would be lying if I said I wasn't cheering for them. (Iginla).

Iginla is really playing well defensively. So well in fact, that my wife who hardly ever watches mentioned it to me. Back checks hard

I've watched some on gamecentre and it's nice to see him playing both ways. That's refreshing. They ran an article on Sportcentre how the fans are going to razzelcome him in Boston, but I would think they have bigger things on their mind.

Getting booed like mad in Boston today. Got into a scrum with Horton (who was injured after...) And scored a goal even with the boos raining down.

Posted this in the OOT... Some comments after the game:
Quote:
Boston fans booed Iginla every time he touched the puck.
"No, I wasn't surprised," he said. "It's a great sports city, and at the time I was very humbled that I had an opportunity to go to both teams, both teams were interested in me. I made the choice to come to [Pittsburgh], I'm thrilled with that. But I have a lot respect for the city here, I hear great things from the guys that play here, I have some friends on that team. I hear great things from the city, the organization.
"I expected that (the booing), and it's not too bad when it's on the road. When it's on the road, you can live with that. At home, when you're getting booed like that, it's hard to take."

Saddens me that he experienced that Calgary.

Me too, but I don't think Iginla was ever booed directly in Calgary. The fans needed to let mgmt know that the direction this team was heading in was unacceptable.

Boohoo, he mailed it in with the best of them. And he's never been booed directly, only the team as a whole.

Iginla's never been booed in Calgary. The team yes, but not Iginla as an individual.
As usual, classy comments by Iginla regarding the booing from the Boston fans. But great to see him stick it to them with a big goal.
Can't wait to see him in the playoffs.

Fans took it easier on Iginla and Kipper here than they would have in any other city that cares about hockey. Fans pretty much accepted that Iginla took an extra month at the start of the season to get ready to play hockey. He never got booed

If he plays like he did in the playoffs 9 years ago, the Pens will have no problems winning the Cup.
