Bautista sitting out again tonight. Well, at least Toronto has Lawrie back in the lineup. He was hitting the ball very hard last night and should have come away with a better stat line then he did. Nice to have him back.

These injuries are frustrating. A win today would be great.

Happ gave up a three run home run to Flowers and the Jays bats have been silenced so far by Quintana.

We just haven't been able to string together many hits this season.

Sheesh this is hard to watch. Blue Jays need some extra base hits.

Healthy line up:

Reyes
Cabrera
Bautista
Encarnacion
Lawrie
Arencibia
Rasmus
Izturis
Davis/Bonifacio

reads a lot better than

Davis
Cabrera
Arencibia
Encarnacion
Lawrie
Rasmus
De Rosa
Izturis
Kawasaki

The Jays were so much more fun to watch last season. I know it's early, but...

I know everyone said we'd have to wait til June for this team to gel and really take off, but...

Lawrie is just not timing his swings at all right now. Cue the Rasmus K.

Cabrera, Arencibia, Lawrie and Rasmus, 0-16 9 K's and 9 runners left on base.

Encarnacion seems to be coming in to form though.

Jays hitting is just not producing, so far this year way to many hitters are really struggling.

Of course they have to be concerned with Bautista's health... is he injury prone....

I was pinning my sports enjoyment this year on the Jays. I have to admit I'm not enjoying watching them play so far. They look lethargic and just off. Very little excitement. NHL and NBA playoffs starting soon / going to be tuning the Jays dang near completely out if they don't get moving.

There are postives

1) Starters Dickie, Morrow, Buerhle, Johnson all had solid outings last week

2) Jansen looks effective

My main concern is the slumping offense

Wow whats up with bautista.. this is not looking good

Looks like d'arnaud will remain sidelined. Luckily we traded him, we wouldn't want another injury prone player, right?

Really glad I bought flights and primo tickets for the Yankees series this weekend so that I could miss seing Reyes, Bautista and be subjected to a bunch of lazy, underperforming bums play baseball. EFF
