Yup, none of this "honoring" BS. And don't botch it like they did Vernon both times he left.

The consistency of the last decade if nothing else. Other than Brodeur no one else comes close. How many goalies have they gone through up north? Or in Toronto, or in Montreal since 2003? All sorts or drama and proclaiming the next big thing, only to last 2 years or less.

Mike Richards had all sorts of audio clips and skits, anyone have those saved (since his site is now under the TSN empire)?

and none of this honoring the number garbage #34 should be retired period and right away there is no reason to delay for years and years this process.

Was hoping to go tonight but I don't think it'll work out... Part of me would like to think he'll be back next year, but I know better that this is probably his last season in the NHL. Hope he gets a great standing ovation at the end of the game -- would be a nice opportunity for fans to celebrate in an otherwise disappointing season.
