How could it possibly be worse? Butler is garbage, Byron isn't that bad but will likely not get his chance here. I find it hard to find a worse situation.

hahahahahahah

are you kidding me? you have hindsight and you still come out with that??

Remember when we were all outraged when we thought we got Buffalo's 2nd and then in turn it turned out to us GIVING away our 2nd rounder.

Serves the owners right. To save $3million bucks we sold our 2nd rounder to Buffalo. I"m sure 2 home playoff games which we would have had if Regehr was still in the lineup is more than $3million bucks. idiots.

WOW

So Buffalo gets more for him now than the Flames did two years ago?

Even though he's gotten worse.

That's what happens when your a rental instead of having 2 years left on your deal.

And when you trade him to someone (Darryl Sutter) who probably still has 2004 blinders on.

They're both my top 2 players to ever wear a Flames uniform and I will be just as happy if Regehr wins as I would with Iginla.

He's still got lots of game left.

Probably personal opinion. Regehr gave his heart and soul to this Flames team and rarely ever took a night off.

Pens/Kings in the finals. Iggy and Reggie drop the gloves.

I think he will be pretty excited to be playing for Darryl Sutter again.

Darryl, Iginla, Regehr, Kiprusoff... 4 guys that are/will be former Flames, that bleed Flaming C for over a decade... can't go wrong cheering for any of those 4.

Felt like Regehr was really trying to get the team to play the right way during his last few years and no one would listen. Plus I met the guy once and he's a really good dude.

Regehr might be a pylon in the pp, but no one wants to enter his zone during a dump into the corners. Damn, the Flames missed that toughness!

Because the flames will get a better draft pick. Right now i hope Pitt comes back to earth loses some games in April and drops a bit in the standings. Follow that up with a 1st round exit.

As for St.Louis, i hope they sneak in at the 8th spot and get booted in the first round.

I rather the flames get better picks than have former flames do well.

just because someone stupidly overpaid for Regehr, doesnt mean he's WORTH those 2 2nds

What the heck?? So the Flames traded Regehr and Kotalik to Buffalo for 5th or 6th Din Butler, a minor leaguer Byron and what else? Two years after, Buffalo received a couple of 2nd rounder for him. Feaster got robbed!!

I can just see Ales Hemsky shaking right now because Reggie is back kicking his butt whenever LA plays the Oilers.
