Anyone actively cheering for a Flames loss should spend a few days in the sin bin. Pathetic.

I'm hoping for a Flames win, but more importantly I'm hoping Tom gets booed relentlessly tonight.

„I am a Flames Fan . And I see a whole army of my countrymen, here in defiance of tyranny! You have come to fight as FLAMES FANS. And FLAMES FANS you are! What will you do without IGINLA? Will you fight?” „Two thousand against ten?” – the veteran shouted. Trolls an bandwagonners respond „No! We will
run – and live!” „Yes!” Flames fans shouted back. „Fight and you may die. Run and you will live at least awhile. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here as young men and tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take our FLAMING C!!!!!
Flames play Kipper ....run the table ....make the playoffs ......a dream .....my dream ......my team .....I cheer for my team .......GO FLAMES GO.
Go out there and play ....have fun.....win or lose just don't be losers the way people are painting Flames Fans (because I couldn't care less) its MY TEAM

For some reason I read that in a Scottish accent....weird. 5-2 Flames new core emerges from the ashes backund 3, glencross 2.

I get people want a high pick, yeah McKinnon would be great but at the end of the day nothing is guaranteed, we could finish dead last and still not get the first overall pick, happened to Columbus last year. I'd rather move assets for picks and try to trade up in the draft then watch the team lose out miserably for the next month. Once you create a culture of losing it is very hard to get rid of.
|
Well, I have three specific goals left for this season, in no particular order:
1) I want all the losers (Bouwmeester, Tanguay, Cammalleri, etc) traded
2) I want a franchise player drafted
3) I want King, Feaster et al to lose their jobs
All of those things would be facillitated with a solid 18-game losing streak. Hence...

You're free to state your opinions and I'm free to state they're dumb. It's just a silly thing to be proud of and strive towards...successful teams are proud of Stanley cups, not obscure little factoids.
Drafting high doesnt guarantee success, but it sure as hell works more often than not drafting high. You think Chicago fans are embarrassed to have drafted Kane? Or Pittsburgh with Malkin and Crosby?

Remove Stajan and Stempniak from that list and i agree. Although Comeau has really turned it around over the last little while.

I wonder if there will be any 'Fire Feaster' or 'We want Burke' chants tonight? I remember the 'Fire Darryl' chants started to gain traction in the weeks before he was canned.

I was kind of referring to scratching these guys because they'll be traded...I should've wrote that in the first post...But I agree both Stajan and Stempniak have played better this year...Although.I'm hoping those guys get traded as well and can net the Flames a few more assets coming back...like a few more NCAA guys.haha

This is the perfect time to trade Stajan and Stempniak while they're actually playing well.
Stajan would be a good fit in Phoenix. Cap hit is higher than his salary.

I'm sure it will get better with time, but the Flames without Iggy sort of feels like watching some lame tribute band, and not the real thing. Finding it hard to stay interested with the current "Flames."

I can see the team going on a bit of a tear here. No more Iggy questions hanging over the team, they can just focus and play.

Felt this way the last few days but honestly I woke up this morning and the "it's a new era" feeling had finally hit me. Dark times ahead to be sure but hopefully we see it steer in the right direction at least.

Iginla hasn't joined the Pens yet, but does anyone know if he's still in town? I'd love to see him poke his head out of the tunnel during a stoppage in play and get the ovation he deserves.

I cannot cheer for the Flames to lose, it just feels wrong.
However, I am now actively cheering for other teams like Buf and TB to win their games!

Just to put some fear into people, but I feel like iggy being gone, the page turning, players knowing they could be moved at any day takes all pressure off and fundamentally changes the fragility of the team. I see 9th in the west in our future

Nope, he's on his way to Pittsburgh now.
@GeorgejohnsonCH
Work visa cleared up, Iginla on plane (connection delayed, there's a shocker!) to Pitt. Whether he plays Sat aft or not still unclear
