He'd fit into their top 6 easily and make it better no? Don't see the value hugely out of whack unless he's taken a significant step back this year.

He has taken a step back. Murray was great in 2009, 2010. He was never amazingly fast to begin with, but has slowed down a little this year and has regressed a little. I still feel he is a quality 3rd pairing defenseman though and will help Pittsburgh as a depth guy in the playoffs. He's a defensive defenseman. Two 2nd's for him seems a little too much though.

Pitt might as well go all in and send Despres, Bennett, and their 1st for Iggy

One of the 2nds is conditional on him re-signing with Pitt.

This trade should reflect what Jbo could get and not Iggy.
Jbo could fetch a kings ransom right now.

And when you build for the future instead of taking whatever scraps you can get that fit into the roster ASAP. I'd imagine Regehr would've brought in a good return in terms of picks at the draft, but Feaster was too concerned with getting guys who can fit into the roster immediately instead of maximizing value.

2nd pick is unlikely...they probably wont want to re-sign him if its gonna cost another pick

The market definitely shows that when GMs think theyre close, they go all in. Boston, Chicago, LA, Pittsburgh may not "need" Iginla, but when you're one of the 4 or 5 favorites to win the Cup, you go all in.
There had better be no hesitation on Feaster's part now. Anyone with a NMC/NTC better have a list submitted already. He can't be shy about exploring every option for almost every player. Forget just Iginla - if Pittsburgh wants Giordano, make it happen. If Boston wants Sarich, get it done. If anyone wants Cammellari, Bouwmeester, Kiprusoff, Tanguay, Glencross, Stajan, et al, take the solid deal.

I completely agree. However, I would be in favour of dumping all expect Iginla that would work also.
Always need veteran leadership.

A bit expensive I feel, but I like where Pittsburgh's head is at in regards to adding more size and grit. Douglas Murray brings that size and strength that can help the Pens match up well with the Bruins. Unfortunately he seems to get out of position to hit and is really slow.
I love how plain and North American the name Douglas Murray is, all the while he's a giant, hulking Swede.

With the market like this...trade everyone who can fetch a good return. Guys like Jbo, Cammalleri, Tanguay and Kipper would fetch a ton right now. Talk about potential for a quick rebuild

That's fine too... but only if Iginla re-signs and I don't think he's up for a rebuild.
Im just hoping the focus isn't all on Iginla. The entire organization should be discussed... with very limited exceptions.
