What a fantastic goal! I was shouting, hoping the whole game he would get a goal!

Just great

We won a game! That's almost worthy of lighting the torch on the tower and having a parade downtown.

I am emotionless. Should cheer for a win but this team is such a waste this season. I better go to bed now. Good luck to all the fans

Awesome game. Cervenka with two sweet goals. Vintage Kipper with 30+ saves and only 2 GA. And the Captain, amidst vicious trade rumours, with the GWG. This team is still pretty terrible (outshot almost 3 to 1 after two periods?!?), but that was an exciting, nailbiting win.

P.S. Was hoping to see a standing ovation after Iggy scored; disappointed when it didn't happen. The crowd was particularly loud though when Beasley announced it

Was at this game today... such a whirlwind of emotions. I can't even describe what it meant to be sitting there wearing my Iginla jersey and watching the man I have idolized since I was kid score what could be his last goal and game winner as a Flame. Whatever happens, I will always respect the guy for everything he's done and wish him all the success in the world. Thank you Jarome. You truly are and will always be the greatest Calgary Flame of all time. Now go win a cup buddy!!

Fleury's last goal as a Flame came against the Blues too if I recall.

If that was Iginla's last as a Flame.

I cracked a huge smile when he scored. Could be one of the last ever.

watching iggy score makes me so happy. Glad he got one tonight. kipper with one of his better outings of the season.

this won't change much as far as the deadline goes. or at least it shouldn't.

Oh it will. That's why I feared a 2 game winning streak will have us shopping our 1st round pick. This is one of the worst managed franchises in the NHL, they have no plan.

Ya I hate to say it but every win right now is a bad thing for the team long term - Feaster has been ridiculously hard headed (read : stupid) about this team being a cup contender and I don't want to see him have even a glimmer of hope.

Chicago is a hard game, and then they have 4 powder puff games between then and the deadline. Could get scary.

I still don't get why everyone still thinks this is Iggy's last game in Calgary

Though we won today management cannot seriously be thinking, "well we're only 5 points out of it with a game in hand, we could do it!". Because we got badly outplayed today and didn't deserve the win in my opinion.

Trade Iggy, Bouw and Kipper and we could set ourselves for an extremely bright future, though we would be terrible for the next couple years.

If Iggy does go before Tuesday (or Wednesday, next home game), it's good he went out with the GWG.

Can someone have mercy on the fans and put an end to this garbage.

We won, but we also only had 3 scoring chances in the entire game that we happen to score on all of them. This team is bad, if any goalie other than Kipper was in net we're looking at a 7 or 8-3 game or worse.

This team is an embarrassment to watch night in night out. Out worked, out sized, and out talented by most teams in the league, it seems like the only way we can win is if one or two of our players takes control of a game (Kipper and Cervenka tonight). We need to change.

Morrow returned a quality first round prospect that could develop into a top pairing defenseman. We have several players that could be moved for a greater return (Cammalleri, Iginla, Bouwmeester, Giordano). We could easily have an influx of a new group of 7 or 8 good prospects in the Baertschi Jankowski mold (potential wise) if we just blow it up. We could have a huge head start on a rebuild and we would have 20+ million to spend on free agents to replace the Iginla's and Cammalleri's

Just end it now so we have something to look forward to.

I like winning, and it was great to see Cervenka pot a couple, and really great seeing Iggy score.

However, that was a pathetic, pathetic win and should not leave anyone thinking this team has a chance in hell, IMO.

Big changes are needed, this team isn't in the stratosphere of being a contender right now.
