I turned it off what happened ?
Thankfully Sarich is in. He's much better then Derek smith and actually competes. Smith made Brodie look awful last game.

Because this is a must win Flames will win tonight and start their march back to 10th place and in the process giving management hope that playoffs are a possibility.

After the domination la showed Saturday I don't see how the flames can win. La is deeper and stronger at every position and it will show tonight why d sutter was the best coach the flames have had in decades and why this group will not be able to make the playoffs. As much as people hate it before the game Friday Eric Francis said this team will get more than2 points on the trip, I find it hard to imagine they will even get that. I love surprises but I don't see the team surprising me tonight

Highly pessimistic CP = definitive Flames victory tonight! 5-1. LA never in it.

New d-pairings:
Roger Millions@RogMillions
Looks like #Flames D changes- Brodie Bouwmeester-Butler Sarich-Giordano Wideman.. MacDonald to start in goal.

It's not that the pessimism means victory, it seems more like just when we think they are finished they add a small glimmer of hope

I have never cheered for a loss before, I am so passionate about this team I just can't bring myself to do it. I want to see this team compete, put up a W every night and get my arse off the couch cheering. I also love having meaningful hockey as far into the season as possible, whether it be a 8th place battle or not.
Tonight, for the first time it's going to be different. While I don't agree in the "burn it to the ground" Oiler approach (puke), a more managed type of rebuild HAS to come. Management needs to get the wake up call that should come with a loss tonight. This season is gone... time for this organization to act like it for once.
As for a prediction, they always seem to cling on the edge to keep the blinders on, so I'm going with a higher scoring Flames win, 5-4.

At this point wins only hurt our draft stock, and make management think this team is still a contender. Therefore I'm cheering for a loss.

That's what inconsistent teams do. Otherwise they would be consistently good, or consistently bad. Flames are more on the latter side of the equation. Just don't get to high on the highs.

Knowing the flames we will win tonight and skew managements view even more.
Sink hard flames, enough of this 9th/10th bull****.

I like the Brodie is getting a shot on the number 1 unit, I guess we will see how long it lasts. Giordano needs more sheltered minutes right now to get his game back, I could see him and Wideman being a pretty good pair. I actually really like those D combinations.
Hope Joey Mac comes out strong tonight, he did not look strong at all last time he played LA (In Calgary, I know he played some of last game).
