I do think we should pad the fee by a few bucks too, so we can get out a local D-lister or even an alum to join the fun. I can probably round up someone if I have enough notice. And if they do, we can name the tourney for them.
"The 2013 Paul Kruse Pro-Am Classic." Or something of the sorts.

So we could do a Saturday/Sunday in May or a Sunday in June for $105/person and that includes green fee, cart, range, and a choice of steak sandwich, burger, or chicken Caesar.
That breaks down as $66 GF, $19.50 cart, $19.50 food.
We could start right at 1 pm whatever day we choose.
Regular tournament fee is $127 there on weekends so we're getting a little bit of a deal.
If we have a couple foursomes who would rather walk we can arrange that as well and the fee would be $85.50 for those guys. Absolutely critical that those guys keep pace though as they don't usually let groups of 16+ walk.
Anyone else wanna phone around and check other courses? Post here what you find!

On a selfish note - I have bookings at kananaskis every sunday in may, so let's make it june. Or Saturday.
Just kidding. That sounds like a pretty good deal Malcolm.

I wont vote on the day because it doesn't matter to me, although I am guessing most people wont want Friday.
I like Malcolm's suggestions. Kananaskis is pretty sloppy until June. River Spirit is very playable right off the bat, but starts to get really nice by late May/June.

I would play. Late May or June would be best, Saturday or Sunday. I don't mind scrambles as long as there are no complete beginners to accomodate.

I am a pretty awful golfer as this will be my first season playing regularly... But I will participate. Not picky on whichever day either.

I voted sunday but would be ok with saturday as well.
And I'd like to pitch Canadian Mental Health Association - Calgary Region (my employer) to receive any charitable proceeds! We rely on our private donors to continue our programs and services, including our Community Youth Education program (going into Jr and High school to teach the kids about mental illness, where to go for help and that they are not alone) and our Street Outreach and Stabilization program (we work with homeless with mental illness to find them housing and to establish the connections they need to get better). http://calgary.cmha.ca/

I am 200% behind this. Our family has been tragically touched by mental illness in the last year.
Maybe make entry $125 with $20 going to charity?
Then have some bucket draws and mulligan tickets at the tourney as well?

I am 100% down for this as well. A lot of my job entails working with Mental Health patients so I think this is a great cause.

I would be interested, but my schedule is difficult to predict.
If I'm working, maybe for a shotgun start I can do a flyby over hole 1.
Although I would most certainly be fired so would need to have another job lined up.

I think it's a great idea to bump the entry up a bit for donations. We're all fortunate to be able to golf. This could be a start to an annual event with different charities to donate to every year.
