Gio saved a sure goal in the first, let's not forget that. Yes, dumb penalty but if he doesn't rescue that puck we may not get a point. Onward and upward.

Glencross' greatest asset this game was having a face and taking a stick to it.

Terrible game from him, he tries to draw a penalty by sliding around the ice and crying to the ref instead of getting up and back into the play. That leads to a scoring chance for the Wild and a penalty. He takes his own stupid penalty later. Throw in lazy play and no offense and this is up there for his worst game as a Flame.

Giordano started off well, Parise was getting his chances against him and Bouwmeester, but that's Parise. Giordano was playing solid I thought, absolutely saves a goal...and then falls back down and plays pretty badly. It was a bad play to take that penalty, obviously, but I do think someone should have given him a stick. I notice the Flames are much more reluctant to give away their sticks than other teams.

Stupid penalties and terrible power plays really hurt the Flames tonight, Joey MacDonald was great though and got them that point.

This f---ing team never learns!!! They constantly make the same mistakes. 9 minutes of pp time in the last two periods and they generated a grand total of 1 shot. If you didn't know then that they were going to lose then you don't know a thing about how this game works. And they have managed to piss away all the good will they created on the weekend. I hope to hell they are embarassed but I fear they are to stupid to know they should feel that way.

Joey Mac was the only player who showed up.

Jio is a very jupid hockey player.

PP- 1/7.

That's the stat that killed us. We got a point out of this, better than we deserved. We move on, hope we have Kipper back in net against Colorado (not hating on MacDonald. Epic performance tonight.) and go for another 2. The upside is, that, we take 12th back from the Oil and we still get something out of the game. Regroup, play better Thursday.

You get a little excited for this team but at the end they do nothing but dissapoint their fans. Giordano with another boneheaded play. Hard to think this team could make the playoffs when they keep throwing points away to divisional teams.

Title is a little extreme IMO. Not that bad a game.

The ref is standing right there...how did you think that was going to turn out, Gio? What an inexcusable mistake. Benchworthy if I was coaching.

You just get the feeling that the Flames are destined to be a .500 team and barely miss the playoffs for the fourth year in a row. Every time they have an opportunity to get on a role and move up in the standings they seem to put out a poor effort like this.

On the plus side, when was the last time a backup goalie stole a point for the Flames?

They say good teams manage to grind out points even when they play bad. Let's not forget we almost held the Wild to zero goals.

If the Flames win in Colorado, i'll be quite alright with tonights result.

I"m also guessing that on the PP we had nobody in front of the net again?

The bench was mismanaged.

Bouw played way to many hard minutes. He was on the duration of nearly all the Pks and played 1st unit power play time as well as even strength. He looked like he had nothing in the tank at the end of the night for trying to defend by himself when Iginla glencross tanguay can't be bothered to help out below the hash marks.

I'm truly curious what his TOI ended up being. I bet it's 30 mins at least.

Flames powerplay is brutal, maybe spend some time working on that Hartley and company? Joey MAC was the only reason we got at least 1 point tonight. He was huge in the last seconds of regulation time. I've been very impressed with him as a back-up. Best we've had in a long, long time. Flames gotta learn to bury their chances. Back to the drawing board....

I was more frustrated by the Flames forwards not giving Gio one of their sticks during that whole scramble. He was without one for 20 seconds it seemed and the puck was on his side against the boards the whole time.

Either give the d-man your stick, or get in there and help out.
