Official, Berry back as Storm:
Interestingly the article mentions that Cyclops and Jean Grey are still un accounted for.. could they bring them back ? Were they both not killed off?
I guess it depends on which point in time they are bringing the two stories together, but I had a feeling it would be far into the future with sentinels..

Article to follow up on my last post...
Quote:
Everyone else is a part of the upcoming X-men: Days Of Future Past, and Bryan Singer hinted at the possibility of bringing Jean Grey and Cyclops back from the dead.He was asked if he wanted to get them to appear, and his response was simple:
“Who wouldn’t? Who wouldn’t? That’s all I can say.”

The more people they cast in Days of Future Past, the more concerned I get.

Good summary about what we know so far regarding Days of Future Past:
Quote:
X-Men: Days of Future Past won’t arrive in theaters until July 18, 2014, but director Bryan Singer has been teasing elements of the film all over the internet. It’s time to take a look at what we know (and what we don’t know) about the latest X-Men installment.

Yeah, it's going to be a juggling act. This story is so big I hope they don't mess it up and wedge it in in two hours.
Part 1 2014
Part 2 2015?
I wish.

You might be onto something with that.
If studios have learned anything in the last10 years it's that a series is profitable.
I could see it as a transition franchise.
Could be fun to have a couple of summers dominated by avengers, x-men, justice league.

The actual comic book is only 2 issues long. It's iconic, but there really isn't that much there. Even the TBP version has to be pumped up with 3 additional stories.

yeah dude! hahaha. X-Men 141 and 142 but it's still my favorite x-men story of all time!
I wish they would make a Teen Titans movie about the Judas Contract story line.

They were supposed to make an animated version at one point, but it got canned before production.

They revisit the dystopian future afterwards, but the original story is only 2 issues long. Keep in mind that comics were longer and more densely packed with dialogue back in the day.
Basically the whole story is:
The future here becomes an "alternate" timeline that does not cease to exist despite Kitty's success.

A photo of a wall in the production office (below) shows the headshots of the 13 actors confirmed for the Fox sequel, from Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry to Jennifer Lawrence and Peter Dinklage, along with three who haven't been announced yet. Perhaps most notable among those is Daniel Cudmore, who will reprise his role as Colossus from 2003's "X2" and 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand."
|
Quote:
The other two are "The Twilight Saga" alum Boo Boo Stewart and, as ComingSoon has confirmed, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing ("Double XPosure"). It's worth pointing out there are at least four, and perhaps as many as six, empty spaces on the wall in Singer's photo.

Can Magneto officiate my wedding too?

Quote:
When the topic of X-Men: Days of Future Past came up during McKellen’s appearance on U.K. program The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend, the English actor announced, “I’m going to marry Patrick,” provoking some fits of laughter from the audience before he clarified, “How else do you put that? I’m going to officiate at his wedding.”

The original comics were also the 3rd and 2nd last comics in the John Byrne run. There's a tradition in the comics industry to have the last comic or the last few be more eccentric, sort of a "I'm out of here soon, so I can do what I want" thing. They are a bit darker and more brutal than anything else in that run. The last comic of the run was about a 14 year old shadowcat, alone in the x-mansion, being attacked by a monstrous demon. It rules.
The big black and white Essential X-men 1&2 graphic novels have a buttload of important moments and I would highly recommend them to anyone curious about the X-Men's history. You can

First look at Berry as Storm, I dig the new costume:
Also, Adan Canto added to the cast but role not yet confirmed.
And an interesting twitter pick, spoilered for size:

I was kind of hoping for a mohawk on Storm but I'm sure it would look ridiculous.
