Logan Couture and Patrice Bergeron should be in the conversation IMO.

Also, looking forward to seeing Nash in the Olympics again. He was a beast in Vancouver.

Ward and Fleury are borderline awful lately.

Price is looking better and better mind you, but when he goes off the rails, he really goes off the rails.

Anyone else thinking that Brodeur still wants to get in on the Olympics? He signed another two year deal and will still be playing NHL hockey when the Sochi Olympics start.

...and as much as we like to make fun of him, Luongo was the starting goalie when we won Gold in Vancouver.

Luongo, Price, ????
I would take Brodeur on the team again, just not Loserongo, the guy can't win game 7 for the cup. Brodeur, Ward, and Fleury have all done that. Price is a wild card. Don't trust Luongo and he'd be lost on the bigger ice surface.

There's no need for Lucic. The team has enough grit and size and it's on international ice. If you're not going to go with skill and offense, it should be skill and defense and there's far better shutdown guys than Lucic. I'd o the exact opposite way of Lucic and bring in St. Louis to play with Stamkos. If we're talking about Thornton and Marleau because of their chemistry it's a joke not to include Stamkos and St. Louis (who probably should have been on the 2010 roster). Sure, St. Louis will be 38 but if he's playing anywhere close to he is now, he's easily my vote for the "veteran" presence. Luckily this time Yzerman would have seen that duo play more.

Luongo can, however, win the gold medal game for the ummm... gold medal.

You might be right about how he plays on international ice surface though.

I wouldnt put to much stock into Ferraros picks, the guy is a hack. I would put more faith in Eklund to be honest.

But what the hell I will show you my list:

E Staal - Crosby - Eberle
Nash - Giroux - Stamkos
Tavares -Toews - Iginla
Benn - Getzlaf - Perry
Extras : Bergeron - M Richards

Bubble Players- Seguin, Spezza, Nugent- Hopkins

Keith - Doughty
Pietrangelo - Weber
Staal - Subban
Coburn

Bubble D- Myers, Coburn, Boyle, Bouwmeester, Girardi

Price- Luongo- Anderson

Bubble- Smith, Brodeur, Fleury

Ferraro doesn't pick Iginla for this team, imagine that!

Good thing he's not doing the picking.

Iggy will be there and he should be the captain.

I don't think Iggy will be there and even if he does for some reason the captain will be Sidney if healthy.

This is honest question and not meant to taken defensive or sarcastic, but why not? You seem very definitive Evander Kane should not be on the team, and I'm curious as to why.

Because he is not an elite level player, and obviously is an immature player of the ice.

Not bad, Seabrook belongs no where on this list. He was our worst defencemen in 2010 and only made the team because of Keith. Iginla deserves to at least be in the discussion due to experience but his play needs to improve.

I think Regher, Bouwmeester & Phaneuf have a real shot this year to make the team

I am sorry, but your love for the Calgary Flames and beloved Iggy has blinded you. There are 29 other teams in this league with elite Canadian players with more skill than Iginla
