Another good game tonight.

Outside of Kipper and the last 3 minutes against the Avs the Flames have looked good for 5 straight games.

I don't know if Wideman is worth $5M or Hudler $4M, but they've both been terrific additions to the team.

Much better defending in the slot by the Flames these last couple of games compared to earlier in the season, and lots of good sticks in lanes. Not nearly as many open looks for opposition forwards.

Backlund still the best looking centre. Would like to see him on the top line and/or getting PP time.

Unbelievable to see the amount of progress Stajan and Bouwmeester have made in one season. You could say they are being utilized properly by the coaching staff but I think it's more than that. It's all finally coming together

Tough spot for Irving being thrown in to start the 3rd, but I think he did well.

I hope that's a confidence boost, both for him and the coaching staff. Lets see what the kid has got.

Another great effort, good to see us get the win. Sucks about kipper, but maybe now we see What this team is really made of.

Absolutely love Brodie out there! His ability to skate away from forward pressure in the D zone is amazing. In two strides he pulling away, it is awesome. made some blunders but this kid is good. Really like him and Wideman together and love the minutes distribution on D.

Great win! Keep it rolling Flames!

I'm sure someone will eventually GIF it, but this is what occured:

Kerr starts talking about Zetterburg's snowballs so the camera goes to them and he starts opening the pack like a crack addict looking for his next fix, which is a relevant comparison because he was shaking like a vibrator. He then proceeds to stuff his face and then tries to give Simmer his scraps.

Was hilariously awkward.

Well, time to sign Danny Taylor!

The Kipper injury was pretty shocking to see..

But we can't pretend it would never happen. We were bound to come to this eventually. Funny thing is, with our new system and possession style we're playing, I'm not too worried about these guys (though a little, yes). But this could be huge for Irving's career and it's about time he got a real opportunity to step up. Looked solid early in the third when the Flames sat on their lead.

But we'll need a reserve goalie in Kipper's absence...thus, methinks Taylor.

Going to be interesting.

And has to be the whole segment...from Kerr's shaking, fumbling hands trying to open the package, to Simmer taking it from him and trying to shove it in his mouth, and then Kerr trying to give the scraps to Simmer.

Disturbing, but at least took the thoughts for the better part of the third period off of a lost Kiprusoff for the first time in a decade.

Solid win...Detroit looks lost without Lidstrom back there to pull everyone along. Having the refs calling a game down the middle in also a rarity in Detroit.
