Again I just can't help but feel bad for Manti. How embarrassed and disgusted he must feel right now.

Then explain his quotes about how he met her? How his dad talked about how she used to come to Hawaii so they could hang out together. I don't know how his story can add up to any reasonable person.

Look this whole story is crazy. But if Manti was involved, what does he have to gain from all this?
He makes up a fake girlfriend who dies of Leukemia on the same day his Grandmother dies to what, gain popularity? Sympathy? Votes for the Heisman? Post season awards? The Irish were 2-0 at the time and he didn't know the team or himself was going to have the season they did. It just doesn't make any sense.
He's obviously a terrific actor as well as football player because he gets teary eyed in interviews and at pep rally's. He does all these radio interviews talking about his so called gf. His parents are also involved as well as close friends and family members. Why go through all this?
I'm going to let it play out. Jack spoke and Manti will later.

dude anything involved with the Catholic church needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Anyone associated with the Catholic church should be taken with a grain of salt

Jack explained that Manti said to him that he only met her through online and telephone conversations. That quote by Brian Te'o is something he's going to have to explain as it was a newspaper article he did a while back.

when you have an AD of a school that is tied with the Catholic church, the same catholic church that covered up the molestation of children I would think that has a lot to do with an AD that would try to cover anything up if molestation is deemed as something that they have no problem trying to cover up

I don't see how the online meeting became this:
Lennay Kekua was a Stanford student and Cardinal football fan when the two exchanged glances, handshakes and phone numbers that fateful weekend three seasons ago.
And really, 3 years they had a relationship and never met?

He'll certainly need to have a ton of answers to provide to all these questions. Apparently he's going to speak as soon as tomorrow. I doubt we get the full story from him, so this will likely play out over a few more days or weeks.

Nov. 28, 2009: Te'o and Kekua meet after Stanford's 45-38 victory over Notre Dame in Palo Alto, according to the South Bend Tribune: "Their stares got pleasantly tangled, then Manti Te'o extended his hand to the stranger with a warm smile and soulful eyes." Kekua, a Stanford student, swaps phone numbers with Te'o.

Te'o's father, Brian, told the Tribune in October 2012. "Every once in a while, she would travel to Hawaii, and that happened to be the time Manti was home, so he would meet with her there."

I agree thats what doesn't make sense. I mean lets say he's in on it. He creates a fake gf 3 years ago, then says she has Leukemia, and then the same day his Grandmother dies, he says his gf dies too. What for? Why all of a sudden now?
After Jack's presser tonight I just don't feel Manti had any involvement in this whatsoever. He'll have to answer a lot of questions and more details will come out but I just don't see what Manti has to gain by doing all this.
This whole story is just crazy.

I'd totally poison the hell out of his trees
... but they probably don't exist either.
