I thought I read that they were asking Asoumga (sp?) to play a technique that he wasn't good at?
Something along the lines of he was really good at using the sidelines to his benefit but when he was asked to force the receivers inside he sucked at it.

Yeah, he got to play the scheme he wanted for most of this year and still sucked. He'll be somewhere else next year.

The Eagles just seemed to be a mess the pass couple of years. I don't mind losing but I sure hate losing in this manner. Hate the mellow drama around the team right now.
Really hard to judge some of the players and coaches are there seemed to be some big character issues on the team. Probably won't be surprised by who stays and who goes this off season.
Lots of work to do but I don't think we are too far away. Besides the NFC East sucks so it could be anybodies division next year.

The Chiefs have only won 8 playoff games in 53 seasons. They have only won three playoff games since the AFL NFL merger, or since they won Super Bowl IV at the conclusion of the 1969 season. Of those three playoff wins, one came in 1991 and the other two in 1993. They have not won a playoff game since. I should have picked a better team 21 years ago, but I was young and stupid.

Both the Bears and Eagles have requested permission to meet with Colts OC Bruce Arians. Really really hope he stays in Indy and continues to work with this young offense.

Eagles are set to interview Jay Gruden and Gus Bradley as well. I'd really like to see what Bradley could do.

I'd prefer Gruden to be honest. He's done a great job with Andy Dalton, I'm sure he could do great things with Nick Foles. As to Kelly, the fact he's almost accepting a deal right away leads me to believe either Cleveland is giving him the moon ($7.5m + a season) or he's using them to get more from Oregon. I wouldn't bet against Nike U, even if they're about to get hammered with sanctions.

He worked with Steve Young and I think the 49ers lead the league in scoring at least once when he was the QB coach. I think he also worked with Gannon when they went to the Super Bowl.
He also has trained guys like Tebow, Claussen and Brandon Weeden prior to the draft and their pro days.

He also recruited Russell Wilson to NC State as well as coached Scott Mitchell that one big year he had....and started it all off by working with Bernie Kosar both in college and in the NFL IIRC.

Wasn't he also Raiders OC when Rich Gannon was winning MVP's and getting the Raiders to the Superbowl. He has been mentioned for other jobs in past years, apparently he's stayed in Montreal because the demands in the CFL for a coach are far less than in the NFL or NCAA. Things like being able to pick up hid kids from school are something no other coaching job can offer.

Seems strange that he gets NFL OC Jobs, has career years, then gets turfed the second the team struggles the following year.
