Hard not to be more excited about Brodie. Seems like he has developed a lot since last year. Reminds me of Giordano. Can definitely see him being a top pairing d man in the future.

I like Chris Breen. I think he needs to get stronger...has he improved this year, Pierre?

Watching that last period it was hard not to get excited about Brodie. He is a phenomenal skater with fantastic offensive instincts and defensive instincts, if he can put it all together in the NHL he has top pairing potential. 2nd most exciting prospect for the flames behind Sven.

That's an understatement. He's easily the most improved Flames prospect.

He's stronger, meaner, clears the net effortlessly, uses his stick more effectively, and has slightly better speed.

In case of injury, I'd be surprised if he didn't get a shot with the Flames at some point.

The biggest worry would be if he can transition from back-skating to front-skating fast enough to compete against Teows, Kane, the Sedins, Eberle, etc.

Anyways, huge confidence booster for the Heat. That was a great win.

I agree. Brodie was very composed out there and seemed to control the play. Offensive opportunities increased greatly with him on the ice and in one shift he blocked 4 shots, stick checked two players and pulled a nice spin-o-Rama to out skate a forechecker.

Brust starting today. Makes sense considering they're playing their second game in less than 24 hours.
