I bought the Casio PX-750 years ago for my kids. Both took lessons for years. The youngest plays guitar now (she played both for a while). The oldest still does piano lessons and is quite good at it.

Looks like the PX-760 is the new one: https://www.costco.ca/Casio-PX-760-D...100149127.html.

If you buy a real piano, be prepared to pay for a tuning every year at least.

Shockingly with a good teacher the violin isn't that hard on the parents that have to listen. They'll typically start out with plucking so they learn where the notes are before introducing the bow. Once the bow is introduced you don't get a lot of really bad notes because of it. At least that was the case in the kids string program at their school. It's a hell of a lot better than a wind instrument....
