I'm home from work now, so here's another experience with the ghost mentioned in post #58 above that I lived with.

We three housemates had been outside on the balcony and went into the lounge room to watch a tv show. We left the door to the balcony open as we always did. We finished watching our show and went to go back onto the balcony when I noticed the door to the balcony was shut, which was bizarre because we left it open. But moreover, it was locked. We had never ever locked that door before. So sometime while we had been watching tv the door beside us had shut and locked.

My housemate Ryan reported another time he had been in the same room and, looking out the window, he saw the door to the store cupboard outside on the balcony slam shut. When we went outside to investigate, a brick had been pressed flush against the door he'd just seen close.

Otherwise we'd hear footsteps upstairs when no one else was home, I saw pictures fall off the wall in the lounge room, and or you'd see a flash of movement out the corner of your eye. All on the same level of the house and nowhere else. Going around the bend of the stairs in the dark at night on the way to the bathroom was always hair-raising for some reason.

I worked at Mynt Ultralounge in 2006/2007 and the particular building it was in had a long and colorful history. It was right in front of the Pennylane mall and the building itself was 100 years old.

I have never personally had a ghostly experience in the nightclub but was working on the same day 2 people saw a ghost at the same time.

A Heneiken Liquor rep and the assistant manager were opening up the club and ventured down into the basement bar area to begin setting up the bar and the promo's. One particularly spooky cold spot was downstairs coat check. That area in particular was always cooler than most spots and it was very dark. It did however have a light switch was was placed in an unusual spot which was difficult to find if all the lights were turned off.

As the story was told to me, the assistant manager and Heneiken rep needed to get something out of the coach check room so to find the light switch, they both shone their cellphone camera's into the room and this is where Sh*T gets scary.

Sitting on the floor cross legged was a young creepy looking woman who blankly stared at them.
They both got the hell out of there.
I came in to work about 1 hour after this happened and saw both of them, and they were creeped right out. The Heneiken rep was crying as he recounted the story and the assistant manager just remained quiet.

They recounted their story and caused quite a stir with the employees. The coat check girl came in and when she heard the story, refused to work downstairs.

When the Heneiken rep gained his composure he went back downstairs and tried communicating with the ghost and felt that the ghost's expression was that of an overwhelming sense of sadness.

Now this is where the story gets interesting, one of the managers told us all that a young woman OD'd downstairs many years ago. It might have been called a different night club or during the time the current club first opened. Anyways, as he was there when it happened, he described that she was layed out on the floor unresponsive right in front of coat check and later was pronounced dead.

As a tried to delve deeper into this mystery, I talked to a few bus boys and bartenders and they all recounted their strange experiences working downstairs. One bar manager was smacked upside the head (playfully he claims) when he was alone downstairs and bending over to grab something in the DJ booth.

Light Bulbs would mysteriously burn out, new ones, and electricians would be called in to check the wiring which was always working fine.

I miss that building, sadly 8th avenue place now sits where the nightclub used to be.

I am always curious, where do ghosts go once the building they haunt gets torn down?
My wife used to be the office manager around the same time. She always complained about the cold spots by the coat check and feeling like she was being watched. It was in the middle of the summer with +30 weather and the downstairs would be ice cold. One day when this happened she said "leave me alone" and everything was warm suddenly.

I remember they had some pictures on the website that picked up some paranormal orbs and streaks. Based on the history of this building (being a whore house which was a pretty violent place at the time) it would make sense that a woman was seen by the assistant manager and beer rep.

The website still exists. I've been looking at the pictures for the last 10 minutes and I think my mind is now making things appear in the pictures where I want ghosts to be. I'm curious if anyone finds anything interesting in these pics.

I always used to be at that place and never experienced anything out of the ordinary. Maybe I was always too drunk to realize what was going on. I do remember the basement was extremely cold, but I figured the air conditioning was set too cold.

My uncle was not really a pleasent man nor was he charitable. He was able to take my grandfather's business and grow it to the point where he was wealthy. However, he had an incident one night that scared him to death and made him reconsider being a jerk.

He lived in this really old house that didn't appear to have a whole lot of history. Prior to him, the previous owner were the original owners. No deaths, no trauma, nothing happened in this house. However, one particularly late evening, he returned home and found that there was a presence. He could sense the presence, and it felt familiar but he couldn't tell who it was. Later that night, while eating his supper, he encountered his old partner Jacob Marley! Jacob warned him that he will be visited by 3 ghosts! After that incident, he has always kept Christmas well in his heart!

My moms dad passed away many years ago. After he passed a bunch of them went out to their old farm where they grew up. Took pictures and such; this is back with film camera. One of the pictures was of the old house/barn and in the picture there is a shadow with "wings" standing beside the house. They think its their dad as an angle...

I saw one yesterday. During the Grey Cup halftime show I saw the ghost of Gordon Lightfoot on stage.

Interesting...I wonder what kind of angle he was? Not knowing much about him I would assume he was obtuse since he lived on a farm.

Someone took a picture of myself and another bouncer in the basement, just outside the O-Bar and a small orb appeared above my head in the photo. I am skeptical of the orb though. I think photo experts describe all orbs that appear in photo's as floating dust particles that are magnified by the camera's flash.

Does anyone know exactly what the Building was used for?
I was told at one point it was used as a makeshift morgue for bodies being transported on the railroad to be buried elsewhere?

Interesting that it used to be a whore-house, I never knew that.
It is a damn shame that penny-lane mall and this building got torn down. I like the new skyscraper but wish I could have been built elsewhere.

I felt this video was appropriate given the thread title and the skeptics that are out there. This is a video of the best / funniest ghost prank I have even seen. I literally lol'd both times I viewed it.

^^ I saw that earlier today. It would be damn frightening to be pranked like that. I don't know if I would have handled it as calmly as some of those people. I can see myself going into a full on panic attack after seeing that "ghost".

I had to be exorcised as a child because I was possessed by the soul of Gene Roddenberry.

Okay I know we may think the "mediums" are weird but my mum went and saw one a week ago, I told her that I did feel that my dad and nephew were in the house in 03 when they died and the medium told her that my dad and Austin do walk in the house and do stand guard over her. My mom told me that she felt a spirit around when she was in Iraq and this makes me feel weird.
