I wanted to be a dentist, but mostly because I had good teeth and no cavities (usually). So my experience with my dentist was that he basically just had to come in, say hi, look in my mouth and then he was done. Sure seemed like an easy job, plus the dentists always seemed very happy.
Kind of a long those lines, I went through a phase in late junior high where I really wanted to be a bigshot ad exec.
Then I woke up and realized I live in Calgary and the chances of that happening are miniscule.
Calgary has a decently-sized advertising scene for a city of this size (lots of money here, so advertising agencies tends to follow). And every person I meet who works in it thinks they are a big shot ad exec.
Back in Elementry I had dreams of becoming an astronaut. I was fascinated with rockets, space travel and most importantly man walking on the moon. Sci fi books and movies became an obcession that helped fuel my interest. I remember thinking there would be bases on the moon and that maybe I could get a job working in one of the them. Of course as a youth we can be sometimes niave about what is possible but ohhh the dreams I had back then.
So what dreams did you have as a youth?
I don't recall ever having hopes or dreams.

Here in Calgary back in the late 60's early 70's, our family used to have our milk delivered in the morning by the Alpha Milk truck. The "Milkman" as we called him always had a smile on his face when he came to our house to drop of milk, and as a young kid, I thought it would be wonderful to have a job where you can drive a milk truck all day and get to visit people and smile at them. Well, that was my thinking back then. Times have changed.

Don't forget all the lonely housewives too. That's why the milkman always had a smile on his face.
