My favorite line in there is "a totally different plug" mixed in with all the technical jargon . Really, that is one of the more annoying things they do. Micro usb is a perfectly fine standard, and they just have to make their own while providing absolutely no advantage to the consumer. And no apple audio or video connectors will work anymore.
They make their own because its a money grab. And because they WANT to think that they're different and better than everyone else.
Credit to Apple at the very least for the lightning port. Ideally we would have have all technology follow that standard since micro USB is still a liability in having the internal pin broken. I personally quite like the idea of having a reversible cord.

Their old connection plug was used for how long? Almost a decade? What are the chances that mini usb will last as a standard for that long?
doesn't matter, since you can buy/will buy whatever standard USB cable is out for a couple of bucks, whereas the proprietary Apple cord is $20. and those cords will work for almost any Android phone, because of the whole being based on the standard thing. there is no excuse for Apple to use their own stupid port other than to force more money out of their users

I moved from an iPhone 4 to the Galaxy S III on my recent upgrade cycle and i really can't belive the improvement. Yea sure graphics and processing are about the same, but its like i have a desktop now! like a real functional desktop kinda like the one thats behind all my open tabs now. Its awesome to just take a quick glance to know its not exactly 73 degrees and sunny out...I feel so free...no more small boxes running my life! And i rarely enter the app tray on my gsiii. What i did think was funny is how much samsung really tries to be apple...like a little brother or something. I got a bluet gsiii and ironically enough it came with white samsung earbuds....better than the iphone earbuds, but white !

Dual core with 2GB RAM, Quad core with 1GB RAM and the oddball that's in Korea: Quad core, 2GB RAM and LTE enabled.

I'd be more curious to know if those benchmarks are done out of the box with TouchWiz and all the Samsung bloat installed or not. Methinks it's probably a super-clean AOSP ROM with a custom, OC'd kernel.

Yeah because it's unimaginable a quad core processor could be faster than an Apple dual core processor!
