Wasn't expecting the Canadian tuxedo as our official ceremony dress, but as a Canadian, I can't help but chuckle and grin.

Pretty tragic that that Imagine is more applicable now then it was when written.

edit: holy crap, George Michael ... and he sounds pretty good

John Lennon and George Michael... not a bad start... who's next?

This is why the commentators shouldn't spoil anything. We want to be surprised.

Enough of the "ok I did an old song so let me do a new song that noone heard of so I may get some more Itunes sales". Bad enough in Superbowl but this is the Olympics George.

The Who now...edit: Some cover band to this point actually.

I have to admit, at least the Canadiana stuff at the end of Vancouver was pretty toungue in cheek. This stuff is taking itself pretty seriously. Parading out British supermodels .... really?

Makes sense...have some random guy walk a tightrope while someone's covering Pink Floyd. Should've been one of the Supermodels up there to make more sense and make that segment worth it other than an ad for Burberry.

I guess having someone from Genesis playing on a Pink Floyd cover is kind of a two birds with one stone approach.

Nice voice-over Brand. I wouldn't trust you to do a Beatles song when you could barely get through that Willy Wonka song (assuming he actually sang it).

Don't worry ... the somehow non-ironic lovefest for the Spice Girls will save this.

I think this is the TSN turning point. The show goes downhill from here.
