No kidding. I took a wrong turn in Tampa once and i felt if i didn't boot out of that neighborhood, Denzel Washington was going to run outside and yell "King Kong ain't got sit on me!"

Agreed.
On 2 trips to California, I took mini trips to Compton. Drive in, drive out. Both times I went on a Sunday morning around 9am, when I assumed anyone up to no good would probably sleeping from a good previous night. Both times, I was the only white person around, and the stares were not so welcoming. That was a scary place. I was wearing a Flames hat and was legitimately afraid of my life when I jumped out to get my pic with a Compton Blvd sign because I was wearing red.
Sorry...not intending to derail the thread.
There is a plethora of violent cities in North America. People need not fear Calgary at all.
