I'm on Rogers and have that old 6GB data plan that was offered awhile back. Would I be able to get on LTE if I got the new iPhone, or would I need to pay extra for that?

Rogers makes no distinction between LTE and 3G. You buy a data plan, you get whatever is available in that area.

Are you sure? Then why do they have a LTE data plan and a regular data plan?
Edit: Dur, thats just their way of making more $. If you get an LTE sim and change it online it works perfect. I knew that.

Apple has used the same headphones for how many years now? Pretty safe bet those aren't changing when they are so ubiquitous.

The style might remain the same but they could improve the internals.

On the software side, iOS 6 is what it is - the pace of change on the platform has slowed to evolutionary rather than revolutionary (which is fair, it has it's pros and cons, and they have a huge base of apps to consider in terms of compatibility)
It's going to be a great iOS device, and a great phone generally (they all have been) without doubt, but fundamentally you're looking at another iOS device that will work the same as your current iPhone, running the same apps you chose and love on your previous iPhone, once the new form factor novelty wears off.
I could be completely wrong of course, but I think its best to temper expectations - Apple traditionally moves the goal line forward incrementally, with only occasional bursts of massive innovation (the original iPhone, the iPad 1, etc)

For some of us, it WILL be big. I'm still toting around an iPhone 3GS (8GB!), so whether I got a 4S or the next iPhone, it'll be glorious and shiny and a vast improvement. =P
(I prefer to wait until the next one so that it'll be newer/last longer/last my entire contract unlike this one, plus I'll be closer to my 30 months with Rogers and my early upgrade will be cheaper.. I hope. Speaking of which, I still haven't figured out how the hell Rogers' early upgrade fees work other than it's dependent on the # of months left....)

They are the least comfortable ear buds I've ever put in my ears. It's insane Apple can't correct this.

They're crappy when they're in your ears and get even worse as they continuously fall out.

I prefer Apple products in almost every category... hell I even like the mouse. Those ear buds though have to be the worst product the company has produced in the last 10 years. I don't understand how anybody finds them useable. I've never used an earbud or headphone that actually hurt before.

They're usable only in a fashion sense. So in other words you should throw them away.

The Apple earbuds seem to be comfortable for me for a while until I hit the 1 hour mark, at which time they turn into white hot jagged pieces of metal in my ears.

May I introduce to you my pair of Wardair stethoscope style in flight entertainment armrest audio magnifiers.
They will give Apple a run for worst earphones.
My biggest problem is that the cones must rot or something because they reach a point where the audio is louder outside of the ear than it is inside. Full blast and I can barely hear but the bus driver is telling me to turn it down.

I can never get ear buds to stay in my ears, and I own some really good earphones, so I've never even tried the Apple ones. I'd be happy if they stopped including them with the iPhone.

I personally am fond of the Apple in-ear headphones - nothing nicer than getting static shocks inside the ear canal from the metal screens. Well maybe the deafening cable noise is nicer, I don't know. The two go so well together.

The Apple ear buds get donated to some other poor masochistic soul. So uncomfortable.
They have foamy ones at the Apple store but I'm not sure they're any good for their price.
Also went for Rogers' 6 GB plan because it's almost exactly all the #### I had, but for like $20 less. Only my current data was half a gig. Yes, it was painful.

Sarcasm aside I am actually a fan. Yes, the static shocks are basically one of the worst feelings on earth, but they only seem to happen every few months. I find them quite comfortable, nobody can hear what I'm listening to and the remote is essential.

Just a possible update. The newest rumor is that the new dock connector will be magsafe like the Macbooks. If this is true, I'll be really happy.

Some pics around the Net claiming to be the new iPhone. If so, looks pretty sweet. Not an iPhone fan by any means, but it looks like it will be a nice phone.

I actually like them as well - nice flat frequency response, noise isolating, and I find them comfortable enough. Just not a huge fan of walking with them because of the cable noise and the shocks, in which case I switch to the cheaper stock buds.
