I am up for taht Monday as well, but the exact time would depend on what the wife has planned. Probably 7:00 or so.

dammit guys, stop picking dates where I'm unavailable! I'm booked on a 5pm ferry from the island, and won't get home until ~8:00pm pacific.

I can't believe you guys actually met and fought underground, I would have figured that would have been highly unlikely.
How come you didn't dig in when it got dark?
Next time Rathji you should build a really tall pillar in the middle of the world as a reference for people when they want to hunt each other. Or for the final fight just build one between them so they know in general where to go.

I have a few plans for the final showdown.
We actually did a quick match after that one as well, where I just set up 2 warps within certain boundary points -100 to 100 on both axis, so if they warped at the same time, they would both not gain any advantage to getting there first and waiting for the other person.
I think that is the simplest option.
I think the biggest issue is that the world was probably too big to have a natural resolution, so we need to find some way to speed it up. Either having a much smaller world and encouraging conflict or having rules where people can't go underground as soon as only 2 people are left.

If it's to be that monday I might look at coming back early. I'm away the entire week before the holiday monday, unfortunately.

I wouldn't call Slacker and my interaction "battling" as much as him seeing me, stalking me, and murdering me as I mined along obliviously until he popped into my tunnel behind me...
I really wish the sound hadn't gotten screwed up for me, because I was ironically saying how I wished things would get going so we could possibly play again and I could go grab dinner between rounds...
Edit: All 3 of my videos are up now, just sadly missing the first 20-some minutes and comprehensible audio. Also, I have all of "round 2" uploaded already.

I saw QuadCityImages thru the walls and then he surprised me when he started to dig my way and got the chance to ambush him. I was planning to look for him outside, I wanted digging a hole his way but thought that would be considered strip mining.
I didn't hide at night, because I was really close to Aegypticus. And that was my biggest mistake.

I think as long as you're digging toward a purpose it's ok, in the direction of a known player, the sound of water or lava etc.
Oh and FYI Ive set the server to cancel so it should go down on the 9th I believe, in case anyone is still using it.

Ah ok.. yeah the nametag thing does make it a bit easier, but given how two people could be within blocks of each other and never find each other I can see how that would be necessary.
Even being close enough to see it through the walls though is still pretty fortunate.

For sure. His wolves would have ate you anyway, before they all got blowed up anyway.

Were you holding Shift much Slacker? I pretty much never was, although I did look around (frantically) after you said "I see you" and didn't see any nametags.
I really didn't figure I'd run into anyone underground. It'd be kind of awesome to see a 3d map of where everyone went and how close they came to each other.

I did for a bit, but got tired. That's when I saw you coming my way and stopped doing it.
If we play in teams, how do we pick teams?
Hanni, I think I am available this Monday if we want to try something quick.

There is a setting within the plugin that supports teams, but I am fairly sure it needs to be manually assigned, so we would need to use something like teammaker to actually make the teams.
I am going to be further working on setting up my server to handle whatever worlds we decide to use, plus having a basic survival world (in addition to the creative world I already have). If anyone would like to play, I have moved it to a whitelist so send me a PM. Everyone who was on the whitelist for this server already has access.
edit: actually, it seems some people are missing because I only have 5 in game names. If you can't log in, let me know. Server address is minecraft.tnlonline.ca

I added your server to my list, but it says "Can't reach server". Down for maintenance?

Found a new plugin that drastically simplifies the process of doing random spawns. Essentially it takes less than 5 minutes to set up a freshly generated world for an UHC match.
That means, once I get the configuration down, we can do them with little notice unless we want a "special map".
Really looking forward to getting a match recorded, properly this time!
