In 1991 this kid arrived at our house to paint my mom and dads fence. He was so broke he hardley had gas to put in his car. After a few weeks of painting my parents fence he told my parents how much he hated living in the hotel in Okotoks. My parents had a big house and over the years they had taken in over twenty foster kids so they told this kid he could live with us. This kid ended up staying with us for four years. In the time he lived with us he was chasing this ridicules dream of becoming a wrestler. As time went by he got very good at it. And when he lived with us he traveled to Mexico, Japan and Germany to chase his dream. Finally his big break came and he got an offer from a wrestling company called WCW. He climbed the ladder in that company and turned some heads. One day in 1999 he got a call from the WWF they wanted to sign him. This kid jumped at the offer and as it turned out he became one of the Biggest super stars to ever wrestle in the WWE. That friend of mine is Chris Jericho. Words cannot explain of how proud my family is of Chris. He is like a brother to me and I'll never forget the good times we had when he lived with us. I'm so proud of you Chris Irvine you'll always be part of our family.

I broke the news to the world that the Canucks got the Sedins to re-sign after their rookie contracts by promising each of them a pony.

I once had to move in with my aunt and uncle for a few weeks in Prince Albert, which is sort of like leaving Bel Air to go live in West Philadelphia..

My dad was an MP and had the Victoria Cross reinstated.

I was Kelly Hrudey's caddy for a round of golf in the summer of 98 (approximate). I was a massive Kings fan as a kid, so it was a huge for me.

I am in Dan-e-o's video "Corrida de Toros" wearing an afro and a blue leisure suit. Mostly in the background, but there is a close up of me yelling "GET UP!" at 3:57.

I 'dated' a FOX daytime TV actress for a grand total of a month. I don't even remember her last name it was so long ago.

I watched Bob Cole tell off one of my best friends

Once heckled Roberto Luongo out of the net during a playoff game (ok not that impressive unless you realize he was in junior playing a REALLY bad Cape Breton team)

I know the guy that coined the term sexposition, although I'm better friends with his older brother who was music columnist at Maisonneuve Magazine, for music fans the older brother's blog is excellent http://mcnutt.wordpress.com/

This might be my biggest claim to fame:

I've been drunk with Halifax Drunk (on multiple occasions, also he's the only poster from this site I've ever met)

Multiple Edmonton Oilers have been linked romantically to both sides of my family. I really wish it was the Flames.

Not quite a claim to fame, but I always found it humorous to see kids you grew up with on video games, particularly the EA Sports NHL series. I was like "I used to make fun of that kid in high school" and now I'm trading for him. Damnit.

I'm a published novelist, but it's not really a claim to fame as I'm totally obscure. But when I go into a bookstore, I always check to see if they've got my book.

I got to hang out at Schanks with the Moffat brothers. When people would come up to ask for pictures, I was included in some of them for some reason. Somewhere some girl has a picture of her, the Moffatt brothers and me.

This was circa 2006 maybe. Well past when they were actually "famous" in Canada.

They were actually pretty cool but it was kinda weird because they were all munchkins. I swear they were all 5 ft tall, 90lbs.
