Ahh good to hear. I'd hate to see some walk-on who got a scholarship have it pulled for Redd to come play.
On another note, I can't wait to be in the Memorial Coliseum on Nov 3 to see the Ducks get some revenge for last years loss.

I dont think the Ducks, or anyone else in the PAC12, has a chance to beat USC at home this year. That is one extremely motivated and talented group they have assembled who also have a giant chip on their shoulder.

By far the worst stadium I have ever been in. Just awful.

USC should no doubt be absolutely amazing next year but I still don't think Lane has an answer for the Ducks offence. It took two of the sloppiest quarters of Oregon's season for them to beat the Ducks and probably would have ended differently had Moldonado made the 37 yard field goal at the end of the game since the momentum had completely shifted Oregon's way. I won't even get into the fact that the Ducks also lost their two best pass rushers early in the game.
I'm not all that concerned about Redd coming to USC either because the Ducks defence is set up to cheat the run, go after the QB and trust the secondary to make big plays when things break down.
The only two things I question about this game are:
1) Can USC torch Oregon's secondary like they did in the first half of last years game? Woods and Lee are both amazing WRs but the defence for the Ducks looks like it will be better than last year (at least on paper) so this should be super fun to watch.
2) Can whoever steps in at QB for the Ducks play to the level they need?History suggests that Chip will have Bennett or Mariota ready to go (and I get vision of Dennis Dixon every time I see clips of Mariota), but both are very inexperience and well you know how that goes...

Yeah I've heard this too, but at the end of the day I'm there for what should be the 2nd best game of the year in NCAA football (with Bama/LSU being number 1) and not the stadium itself.

Penn State QB Rob Bolden transfers to LSU:
Link
He's supposedly on the 105 man roster for training in Baton Rouge today. Add him to current starting QB Zach Mettenberger, and I'm feeling a bit better than when Jefferson was starting last season. Which really isn't saying much.

Probably.
Mettenberger has two more years of eligibility, but the other QB's on the roster have zero game experience. Bolden won't likely contend for the starting spot, but I'm sure he'll have the backup position locked up.
Honestly, I won't even pretend to have any clue as to what this man is thinking...

Love Montee Ball...hate ######bag wannabe tough guys, so this story angers me.
Quote:
Wisconsin senior running back Montee Ball was the victim of what police are calling an "unprovoked assault" early Wednesday in Madison, Wis.
Ball suffered head injuries after being attacked by five men near Wisconsin's campus around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday. Witnesses told police the men knocked Ball to the ground and began kicking him. Ball, a 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist, was taken to a hospital. A team spokesman said Ball spent two hours in the hospital before he was released. It is not known if he can practice Monday when camp opens. Wisconsin opens the season Sept. 1 at home against Northern Iowa.
"My concern right now is for Montee's health and well-being," Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema said in a prepared statement. "Montee has been released from the hospital and is under the care and supervision of our sports medicine staff. We will continue to evaluate him as we approach the start of fall camp this weekend. I do expect Montee to make a full recovery."
According to an incident report, Ball didn't appear to know his attackers.
Ball was walking with two friends on the 500 block of University Avenue. The two friends were walking ahead of Ball, and turned around to see five men jump him, knock him to the ground and begin kicking him in the head and torso. Several people came to Ball's aid, including a man walking on the other side of the street, and ran off the attackers.

Hopefully he's alright, and hopefully all 5 of the guys involved find themselves in a 5-1 situation in the future.

I see the tradition of over-rating Notre Dame is alive and well still.

They will get bumped out of the top25 after week 3 at MSU beats them soundly or the following week when Michigan comes to pay them a visit.

I was expecting this to be a big drop off year for Bama, but our schedule is pretty meh. Two tough games at LSU and Arkansas and that's pretty much it. Granted now that I've said that they'll lose to Michigan week one or something stupid like that. And by the time we play the new kid Aggie's they'll probably be ready to end the year.

This is a big year for Texas in terms of seeing whether they are headed in the right direction. Only ?? are QB and WR which also happen to be the worst places to have question marks. They have 3 running backs who would start on almost any other major team. Defense is going to be one of the best again, but it all rides on David Ash. If he can be an above average qb than we can get 10 wins, other wise it's going to be 8 again or maybe 9. Not a make or break year for Brown as he doesn't have a solid QB, but still an important year nonetheless.

I have the same thoughts on that stadium. It's in a crappy part of LA, it's dirty and disgusting, just a huge concrete hole really. It's an embarrassment compared to Camp Randall, Neyland, as an example.

Glad to Virginia Tech still ranked. I'm expecting them to finish in the top 15 this season. Logan Thomas is going to have a ridiculously good season.
By the time Thomas is done school, he's going to be one of the best QB's in the NCAA.

Except that they are down on scholarships this year and will cost them a game this year. People don't realize that those 4-7 plays a game that the big uglies get off are a huge deal. USC wont win the championship this year.

I think it's very likely USC wins the PAC-12, and that they're playing for the championship. But when the rubber meets the road, whichever SEC team they face in the title game will have players that are simply bigger, faster, and stronger than they are.
I believe that until there is a school that can recruit the South like the big boys in the SEC can, they'll continue their championship run.
My guess as to who that will be? Florida State. Not this year, but soon.
