I tried Chrome, Opera, IE, and Firefox this morning and I can't seem to press the continue button on any app in the app store. I'll try again later or from my phone.

Can someone tell me the difference between Sound Hound and Shazam. I'll probably just end up buying Shazam anyway, but it would be nice to know heh. Also, gotta say that Space Physics is a pretty neat game.
Edit: I got an error message when I purchased Jelly Defense, but then after a few mins the e-mail came through and my phone just started downloading it anyway.
|
As far as I am concerned Soundhound and Shazam do the exact same thing... I personally like sound hound a bit better, but I have used it more and played with more of its features... e.g. it has the ability to show what was look up recently by its users... whats trending etc... plus you can speak an artist name to it or type out a song name/artist name... I don't know if shazam does any of that. Which ever one you have you may want the free version of the other as sometimes (rarely) one will know a song the other does not.
Edit* lolz ... its early just realized shazam is on sale today... buy both! :P

Experiencing issues with the Android Market this morning? You are not alone as it seems a wide variety of users are experiencing the same. It either works, or it doesn't users are reporting, doesn't seem to be in the middle for anyone, either they have luck or they can't purchase. Hopefully it's just something minor that Google can get up and running quickly, but keep your eye on the source link and here for more updates!
|
No real update, but atleast the ones experiencing problems know they aren't alone. I bought another one just to see if I would have an issue, got My Beach HD live wallpaper in the 10 cent sale. The purchase and install was perfect, so hopefully whoever is having issues it is cleared up ASAP.

Got both and I like Soundhound better. It seems to do a better job IDing songs. Shazam also seems to only use wireless data even when I'm on wifi.

Apparatus is a fun little diversion, and that Snowfall Live Wallpaper looks nice, with a bunch of Christmas options for it.

I wonder if they added another billion downloads to the stats because of the past few days. Crazy like growth.

i wonder how much money the app makers are getting from this. yes it's only 10 cents per app, but i've been buying a lot of stuff i never would have otherwise, and i'm sure there are thousands like me doing the same

I wonder why they repeated Asphalt 6. Was it that popular the first time around, or are they just running out of choices for apps?

Any guys with Galaxy S's (plain ol' Galaxy) having issues with Asphalt 6? It won't let me download from market, says it's not compatible with my device. Just want to make sure it's not just me and it's a quality control issue (app should work but google has decided it has issues with a particular device).

I heard somewhere gameloft was making it so people with rooted phones wouldn't be able to run their stuff. Seems to be accurate as I have the both the rooted and unrooted profile of my phone attached to my google account and the unrooted profile allows me to download, rooted profile doesn't

How did you attach the rooted and unrooted profiles? It seems this is the case as Backstab HD is also "not compatible" with my device.

Any ideas how I could get around this? I don't have any unrooted devices.
