No. People know that giant monster movies require Godzilla. No Godzilla means your movie is terrible, unless you make allusions to Godzilla and his superiority to your monster.

I really like that movie and thought it was very done.
After looking back on the big monster movies, its probably the best of the bunch.

Totally agreed, I liked the realism of it (e.g. what would happen if a monster actually attacked earf). Which is why I didn't get all the flak it received. Most people HATED that movie. To this day, the only time I've been in a theatre where there was booing at the end, and it wasn't just a small pocket of people either. Felt like I was at a Flames/Wild game.

I'm with you guys, I enjoyed Cloverfield. Perhaps it just couldn't live up to the massive hype the internet was giving it, all the speculation on what the monster would look like and all the websites created to give a backstory with little teasers of information here and there.

I liked the fact that Abrams said that the monster was a scared baby, I really want to see a sequel with an angry giant PMSing mother

I hated Cloverfield.
I was only interested about the monster. I didn't care about the arrogant and unlikable characters. And when the movie was over and I realized that I hadn't learned a single a thing about the monster, it's origins, or even how it looked, I realized how badly that it failed. Godzilla 1998>Cloverfield.
....wait... this isn't the right thread! Things you hate in the things people love but everybody hates thread!

Call of Duty.
I love the simplicity, that you can just pick up and play. I don't always have the time to get over the learning curve of other games and the strategy.

I'm confused. It's easy I'm afraid.
But, do you love or hate FF?

I'll do this occasionally. Mostly for the weird looks I get, but it tastes fine.

I put raspberry jam on mini wheats. One of those things my mom did for me at a young enough age that I simply don't see what's strange about it now. It's just easier than putting fresh fruit in cereal. Often people recoil in horror when I tell them that.
To change the category around, something I hate that everybody else loves: The culture of getting drunk and hanging out with drunk people. Tipsy fine. Buzzed cool. Once it gets beyond that I want to destroy the individual 99% of the time.

If you eat the hard nub on the end, that's just weird. And you're weird.
