1. Vancouver

2-4. Calgary/Montreal/Toronto - all bubble playoff teams

5. Winnipeg (very outside chance at playoffs only because they are in the East)

6-7. Ottawa/Edmonton (rebuilding teams, both probly finish between 12th-15th in Conference)

Edmonton and Calgary could flip, but I dont see either one of them making the playoffs. Toronto makes the playoffs due to playing in the east, likewise with Montreal. Ottawa and winnipeg get lottery picks because they are terrible.

Pretty brave putting Montreal 2nd in Canada after they get off to the worst start in franchise history for 70 years...

Worst start since WW II. If people think CP is prone to over-reaction...

How the Canadian teams are performing at the end of October:

1. Edmonton (7-2-2)
2. Toronto (7-3-1)
3. Ottawa (7-5-0)
4. Vancouver (5-5-1)
5. Montreal (4-5-2)
6. Calgary (4-4-1)
7. Winnipeg (3-6-1)

Looks like Edmonton may be the real deal this year. Toronto has indeed surprised me, although I am not convinced they can keep up this pace for 82 games. Things look good in the nation's capital. The Canucks and Habs are off to slow starts. The Jets need improvement.
