Pretty typical Stamps game.
Alot of mental mistakes, bad penalties and poor execution with things on the line. Without the heroics of Larry Taylor, that would have been a blow out.
Huff still has a lot of work to do. You would think, in week 15, these wouldn't be issues. Makes a person wonder who is running the team.

Don't spot the other team two touchdowns before showing up.

First and second down he brings the house and lulay gets nothing. Third down brings a three man rush. Ffs it's the cfl. The field is massive. Give a qb 10 seconds he'll find someone open.

Yeah, hated that third-down play-call as much as everyone, but also hated the offensive play-calling at times - when the Lions lost Elimimian, Calgary runs back-to-back passing plays. This coaching staff lacks the kicking-them-when-they're-down mentality... how do they expect the players to play with that sort of edge when they don't bring it themselves?

Exactly the way I feel, I don't know why the coordinators in this league don't realize that prevent defense loses every time.

Nik Lewis won't talk to the media after the game. He is upset over how few passes came his way in the 2nd half. Said something like if he talks, he will get cut.

I like Talley's game. It will not surprise me if he plays again over Rambo.

Are you people crazy? That was a great game. Losing on a 52 yard field goal at the last second is hardly a cause for criticism. It was an evenly played game where BOTH teams made mistakes - it's not like they were playing the Roughriders here, this was a quality team that is no pushover.

So not impressed. Talley was lucky to get that TD and a guy who's been been playing receiver this long should know to catch the ball with his hands not his body, he tried it once earlier in the game and the BC defender easily knocked it down and then luckily he hung onto the ball on that long catch and TD. He would've been cut on the spot had he dropped that pass.
Rambo has been terrible most of that year but I'd gladly take Rambo back on if this is what is developing for the future.

^^I just think he brings more to the table than Rambo. He can be in the return game as well. I think we have seen a changing of the guard in the backfield and its going to start to happen in the receiving core as well. I would be shocked if Rambo was a Stampeder next season. It seems to me that the main concern coming into the season was the age of the core players and based on what has played out thus far, I think its a legit. Time to bring in younger guys who have more speed, consistency will be an issue with the younger guys but really its an issue right now.

Way to go Jones you tool. D was dialed up that whole last series. Great QB preassure and how do you go down on a 3rd and long. With prevent you jack###. Prevent is the ultimate loser call.

i missed the game but i recorded it. Should I even watch the game or will I be disappointed? That sucks that we lost and it also suck that we lost in the last minute on a field goal. Looks like after a game of discipline with not a lot of penalties and no turnover against the Riders, Stamps went back to play undisciplined game again.

There was a great hold on the pass to Bruce that was conveniently missed but either way the Stamps should have won this game easily against a weak/overrated Lions team.
Hopefully now that it is close the Stamps will start trying and take first easily as they should over two much weaker teams in Edmonton and BC.

Ya I think thats exactly what the Stamps plan has been all along. Let BC take over 1st place to think they might have a chance and then start to turn it on in the last few games and win the west.

Just like BC'a plan was to play like crap early in the season and rely on fluke calls to gain first place?
The league is filled with mediocre teams this year which is why the race is so close.
With only 3 teams that suck (riders, esks, Argos) it isn't surprising to see be swings like this.
I think Calgary is the best based on them having by far the most talent so I expect them to win now that the games matter.
