17. My parents retired and moved away. I lived with my brother in our parents house.

$30K!?!? More details please! This sounds amazing!!
I was out at 22. I managed to save 25% for a place while paying my parents rent for the year after I was out of school. I have since learned how to blow money much more effectively

My parents forced me to save half of everything I earned (including birthday/ christmas cash). I had been working since I was 14. My parents were also kind enough to charge me 1000 a month in rent(since I was not enrolled in school). Luckily they were giving it back to me my first place or wedding. I chose first place and saved enough for a 5% down payment got my parents to co sign for me and off I went! I now have 3 properties at 24.

That sounds veeeeery similar like I party I went to when I was in high school. It started out with a couple people knowing about it, and before you know it 100+ people were there and the place got destroyed and the daughter who threw it got kicked out. Except I'm going to assume you're not a chick, so it couldn't have been your party...

Moved away at 17 for one year of University, then moved back home at 18.
Then when I was 20, my dad took a job in Dubai that would take him and his family overseas full-time, and he didn't want to give up his house. I lived in it by myself for about 2 1/2 years, it was nice having a big 2,500 sq ft space to myself and no one around to answer to.
Then in the summer of 2009, it all came crashing down when he and his wife and two young kids moved back. I will be moving out next summer after I finally graduate at age 25, whether I decide to go for my B.Ed. or not.

Moved out at 24 after finishing my second degree- moved in with the girl I was dating. Was a great experience, being away from home for the first time and learning that yes I can take care of myself.
I also learned a lot about relationships, and how they can fail.
Then lived alone for a few months...
So I lived alone for the first time when I was almost 26.

I was 26. My wife (girlfriend at that time) was going to school in Edmonton. My dad could see where things were going with us so he told me to stay at home and save my money to buy a house when we got married. We were engaged for a long time before she was done school and got married the summer she was done. Unfortunately I went back to school so we didn't have as much of a down payment as I wanted but we were still able to have a nice down payment for first time owners.

26. When I got married :-)
I want my kids living with me until they are married up to 26sh/27. After that they can move out if they aren't married yet.

I moved out at age 18. I attended "UNI" while living at home for a semester, but wasn't really focused. I joined the Marines, saw the country (sadly, never left the States), and have never lived back with my parents for any significant amount of time.
I'll likely be one of those parents that boots the kids out shortly after high school unless they're attending UNI here in town. Damn leeches...

I'm 29, my wife is a good cook, and my mom still calls me to ask me if we want her to make us something. That's how she passes time. I'll pick up food on the way home from work....#spoiled
Plus I work up to 75 hours a week and my wife teaches FT and helps me out on the side. No kids though.

I just wanted to thank everyone who contributed to this thread.
I honestly thought I was an anomaly at age 23 and still living at home. At least now I know there are people who are in their mid-20's and still living at home. And that's not a 'slam' in any way. I'm just happy that other people are like me

I graduated from NAIT in Edmonton at age 20 and moved back to Calgary. Lived at home for 3 months afterwards until I found a job and then moved into a place with some buddies.

19, after growing up in a large family I couldn’t wait to get out of my own. I moved in with a friend, than later into a house with three other good friends. Eventually I left Calgary and lived in various places with different roommates while attending university. I am sad to report that I am now back at home after nearly 6 years of being away. Right now my work contract is only 4 months, the second I get a full time offer I’ll be moving out for good.

I moved out at 19 to go to college.
After my divorce (at 23) I moved back with them (paying rent...) for 4 months.
